Quite a few mutants * 1
    #26445100 - 01/21/20 07:50 PM (4 years, 8 days ago)

Hey,

So my B+ shoebox is doing pretty good. Just a couple days from harvest. The wbs jars used for spawn had some bacterial issues but not too bad at all. Ive noticed though Ive got quite a few mutants here. My PESA jars had the same bacteria and i have no mutants. There are plenty of healthy fruits as well but I've never had mutants. I've heard they're straight for munching or making tea if theyre just mutants and nothing "caused them". Im pretty sure in this case the bacteria "caused it". Long story short... they're all good right? I can just crush them all indecriminately? Im pretty sure I figured out the source of the issue and how to keep it from happening again hopefully.

The bacteria/mutated mycelium from my spawn. I originally just thought it was rhizomorphic growth but it was confirmed to be from bacteria. Im still new and figuring these things out.

Looks good.

Bacterial Spawn can cause issues because it can weaken the mycelium and cause premature pinning, but at this point those look like great flushes and I do not think you need to worry about anything. If you end up with a heavy bacterial contamination you might see more excess metabolites.

Eat them ALL
