Is it possible to transfer fully colonised shoebox

Is it possible to transfer fully colonised shoebox That hasn’t pinned to another two shoeboxes? Breaking up the colonised coir, maybe adding it mix of pasteurised chicken manure pellets and coir to One drip field capacity (ODFC)?

Possible, yes. Not recommended.

I think you are better off taking some plastic wrap like cling wrap or something similar and laying it on top of your casing layer of your shoebox. Then let it sit for 3 days unfucked with and see what happens.

To maximise the yield further like I did with the BRF cakes spawned. Isn’t it the the same concept as crumbling brf cakes and adding it to field capacity coir?

fuck it, if you don’t care then go for it. do it for science
i’ve dropped subs before & had them crack/break/crumble all over the floor. smooshing the salvageable pieces into a new container has worked pretty well for me. i’ve pulled decent fruits after the mycelium recovers for a little
i doubt you’d kill the mycelium but it’s probably just not worth the time you add to the grow nor the stress it puts on the mycelium

I like you sentiment “do it for science”, I don’t think I’m being scientific, I’m trying to do it to maximise the yield and learning. I’m not sure if I can do both...

yeah, it’s usually one or the other. i wouldn’t worry about yields too much. if you’re fucking around with it you can’t expect to nail everything. but sometimes it’s fun to try something for its own sake
it may not be scientific but it’s an experience nonetheless. unless you need massive yields you might as well do it if you’re curious. the only thing i can think of is that coir isn’t nutritious like grain & BRF is which is probably gonna cause problems. maybe
should we just start doing tub to tub transfers instead of g2g?? (kidding, kidding)

What if it was with a coir and hydrated to manure pellet mix at ODFC (one drip field capacity), as manure has nutrients, or maybe Chuck some sterilised verm&BRF into the mix, to the coir & manure, still maintaining ODFC.

no idea about the pellets. i don’t think you could just add in the grain, as otherwise why wouldn’t we just be doing that from the get go? agar straight to a tub of grain/coir would have been done by now if it worked like that. also no idea abt manure

Best course of action is to leave it alone. Shoeboxes are pretty much no miss no fuss. I spawn em and check them after a week to see if they need water or have any contams. Then I leave em alone till first flush

Ditto. Patience is hard and sometimes the best pinning trigger.
