I had shrooms before. A friend hook me up from his people. And they had given to me when it was looks like its freshly pick and wet. So I had to dry them out myself, using my dehydrator for about 8 hours at 95 degrees. I had did it 2 hours at a time. But I have never had them looking black this. Below I have the picture when I got it wet and dry. Also it have this smell, smells like dead crickets. Did I over dried or burn it?

Thanks in advance!!!

Wrong board. As for my opinion, I really don't know. If I were to see those on the ground I wouldn't think they were actives and I don't really see any bruising but just listen to the TI who ends up replying

It appears you have two species, what might be Psilocybe cubensis (the larger blue stained ones) and what might be an inactive species of Panaeolus, perhaps P. papilionaceus. If there are any Panaeolus cyanescens in the mix, I can't see them in these pictures, which are not suitable to give a well founded identification.
For future reference, please make sure that you take good, clear pictures of whole, intact specimens in favourable lighting - preferably in situ - and include all important features such as cap surface, gills and stems in their entirety. Also avoid using plastic bags for collecting, since the waterproof material allows condensation to build up and hasten the rotting process.

I don't really know what to say about the smell, since I'm not very familiar with the smell of dead crickets. If you said they smelled like a dead fish or a dead rat, I'd suggest you got rid of them, though.

i am not convinced you have ANY actives from these pictures. though its possible like anglerfish stated, could be a mix of cubes and a inactive panaeolus sp. but it could also not be.
what i can say for sure though, is you have mushrooms mixed in there that are 100% NOT an active species. the only ones that MAY be active are the larger pale ones like the one in the second picture of the bagged mushrooms located in the bottom right corner. could possibly be cube but since the pic is taken through a bag i dont feel comfortable confirming its bruising blue lol.
the mushrooms turned black either due to spore deposits or from the plastic bag. i have NEVER had mushrooms turn black from a dehydrator

Personally, I would toss the whole lot, I see what Anglerfish is saying and I agree, but it would be safer to trash them and post pictures of fresh specimens outside of the bag.
