@feeevers, if it had nothing to with covid19 it wouldn't say that is what it is for, I posted one source, I'm going to go through and post every link, look for yourself and stop letting others tell you what is going on. You are the one with no clue trying to say that hospitals don't commit fraud and it's foolish to think that when it comes to billions of even trillions of dollars in government funds that corruption isn't happening and that is what you are saying.
I'm simply saying that this virus has created the perfect storm for thievery, even HHS is aware of this fact and trying to curb it as best as possible. So don't act like it ain't happening. When it comes to money. people will steal and I don't care if its the freaking pope, it's fact.
1. No one said the money was for positive covid tests, it was for hospitals and based upon how much money they made off of medicare patients in the previous year. The 20% surcharge is a different part of the CARES act, and I've already explained how that works 3 times and posted links.
Edit: So I was wrong in saying that there was no correlation to COVID in that part of the CARES act in my previous post. According to HHS there was $22billion put aside for 700 hospitals in "high impact" areas. That funding was not based on tests, but on inpatient COVID admissions, and separate from the numbers you mentioned which came from the $50billion general distribution and had no relation to covid cases or admissions. This was their rationale:
Quote:
Payments to these facilities on this basis is not intended to reimburse the facilities for the specific cost of these admissions. Rather, COVID-19 admissions is being used as a proxy for the extent to which each facility experienced lost revenue and increased expenses associated with directly treating a substantial number of COVID-19 inpatient admission.
https://www.hhs.gov/coronavirus/cares-act-provider-relief-fund/general-information/index.html
2. You did not post a source, still.
3. I clearly have looked it up as you can see by the actual numbers I've quoted and links I've posted. Morrow works as a nurse in one of the most covid infested cities right now and you disregarded what he said completely, seemingly because you were a practicing doctor at one point and think you know better. I keep asking for a source because I've looked and found nothing but counter-evidence to your point, and if it's true I'd be genuinely interested to know.
4. Do I really have to say that I'm not saying hospitals don't commit fraud again? Would you like it if I start saying "Doc9151 says every single doctor is corrupt"? The two are equally accurate, maybe debate with facts instead of... whatever it is that you're doing.
Looking forward to your links that show hospitals getting thousands of dollars per positive test result for people that were never even admitted. It also might help to provide some proof of the massive testing fraud that you're inferring is happening. Otherwise you're just fear mongering.

A lot of kids that live on convenience store food don't look unhealthy, yet.
I have a hard team believing that very many young children are walking around with severe enough atherosclerosis to precipitate a heart attack regardless of how unhealthy their diet it. More likely it has to do with covid inducing liver failure and inducing clotting disorders. Obviously can't say for certain though

Covid is now predicted to be the third leading cause of death for 2020 behind cancer and heart disease.

Yeah. Heart attacks require decades of accumulated arterial placques. Some people have genetic disorders that cause accumulation earlier, but even those people rarely die before their 30s

There are people impersonating federal agents, threatening store workers who enforce mask mandates.

Meanwhile in Wisconsin. 100% of places not in Milwaukee or Madison have something like this on their door.

And I haven't seen a single person unhappy about it. In the city some liberal will get violent on you about masks tho

Great to hear that the conservative crowd is coming out in support of the freedom not to wear anything you don't want to, that's a major departure from all that religious modesty baggage around public nudity.
Oh, it's just for masks? Well that's not very consistent.

Nope. Do I need to draw a Venn diagram for you or something?
Two people are quoted in the image you posted, both of whom are Republican elected officials from what I gather. Don't think it's too big of a stretch to consider them conservatives. Nowhere at all did I make reference to the political affiliations of the entire state of Wisconsin. Nor is anything I said in conflict with the existence of people who oppose masks but are not conservatives.

Every business has a sign like that. The post was about Wisconsin. Not just those two names that happened to be on that particular note. But i guess you were just talking about those two guys then...
