Just to clear the air, there was no insult here nor no names called.
I am simply, at this point, genuinely curious.

Generally curious if he is autistic when you know he is not?
Just sounds like another loop hole to bend rules here. Why are the lib mods so good at that

One rule simply dont be a dick.
Calling somebody autistic is dickish imho.
People are left without treatment in western societys on regular basis. Business as usual. If some has different view of this I recommend to volunteer in public nursing home for one week.

And before you start accusing me of having no empathy the reason I want to work in this field is to change the system from inside. If you are genuine concerned of the situation of lets say elders with moving and memory problems inside nursing homes volunteer/change your job to that field/ donate or shut the fuck up.

Shroomery Elections
1.Mods and Admins must be elected to power by members.
2.6 month term lengths for Moderators and 1 Year term lengths for Adminstrators.
3.Election's Forum created to discuss Shroomery 'politics' and hold elections when terms end.
4.New nominees suggested by members, as to prevent current administration nominating only friends.
I dont know, I think that would be fun to do. The only problem I can think of would be if polls were used for elections, could easily be overrun by puppets. There would have to be a different system or a post count limit or something. I'll write out a longer thing if you guys like the idea..lol like a Shroomery constitution.

as sad as it is, I prefer to think of them as life panels rather than death panela. Medical personnel want to save as many lives as possible, and this is about allocating resources in such a way that maximizes their potential to do so
Conservatives tend to use the term death panel as a a rhetorical device in their arguments against universal healthcare.

Fewer people are "left to die" in western countries, on average, than other countries. The usa arguably has greater capacity to handle large amounts of high acuity patients than almost any other country. The fact that life panels are becoming unavoidable merely speaks to how bad covid has become as a result of the intrinsic properties of the virus and a series of politically motivated fumbles by the executive branch
In some cultures it is believed, for example, that you shouldnt even tell people with terminal cancer that they have it. It is left up to the family. Here we are legally obligated to disclose it

In Finland where eutanasia is illegal it is standard procedure to stop hydration on old patients for example. Without asking from them!
In Sweden doctors have been blowing on the whistle about unofficial illegal unconcencual eutanasia of old patients.
This is simply wrong.
In nursing homes elders are rutinely drugged and tied to beds so minimum resource is needed to maintain units.
In mental health field the situation is ugly too.
This is what I´m meaning that it is business as usual.

Woah there Cowboy- you paint quite a dystopian image.
What you describe sounds like hospice or palliative care.
Legal and compassionate. Why leave someone to suffer for days, weeks, if its their time to go. Medicine will not be effective, only pain and upset loved ones looming in the future.
Restricting food, water, tubes and needles expedites this process. It's actually the humane approach for end of life care, when nothing more can be done.

they either go into massive debt or don't get treatment I think there are some avenues for people to get involved in clinical trials without money since the drugs are donated anyway but even then I presume you'd be charged for the labor and the bed. not sure. hospitals are only legally obligated to treat medical emergencies for uninsured patients who can't pay. sad, but it sounds to me like you're saying doctors in your country commit murder
Quote:

this doesn't happen without consent. if they consent to it, they're just saying "I don't want to be treated anymore". the disease process kills them. some people just don't want to suffer any longer if death is inevitable
Quote:

this doesn't happen. that is murder

Neither does this. Restraining patients is a last resort that is only ever done if the patient is a danger to themselves or others. We'll bring in one-to-one sitters for patients typically, restraints are used for like... people high on PCP, or people with ET tubes that are keeping them alive who are so confused that they try to pull them out. So it's always about preserving life. And an order for restraints on adults has to be renewed by the doctor IN PERSON at least once every 24 hours. With children IIRC it's like once every 4 hours.
