Sounds silly, but there are gonna be a lot of young people with no pre-existing conditions who are still going to have to cope with possibly life long repercussions from this.

People don’t seem to understand that while it’s mostly old people who die, that is only because they can’t handle being on a ventilator for weeks. My friend says the patients in his hospital’s ICU are mostly people under 50

Bummer crazy horse. If it's any consolation myself and my entire family have been in and out of the hospital in one way or another, and in and out of diagnostic scans and stuff at outpatient facilities, and no one has gotten sick yet.
A lot of ERs are even advertised as 'covid-free' - kind of strange to see on a billboard, but they take it seriously, when I went in as a visitor everything was extremely efficiently run, not a single staff member was anything less than extremely knowledgeable on the issue and the procedures in place(which were heavily enforced), and you had to get a temperature check just to get in the door. Good luck!

LOL, I'm giving you a +5 for having the talent to have clearly missed every single point in my post above:
1. My Country? No, you already said you know I don't have one. 2. Humorous? No, I already said I'm very serious about the suffering of anyone. 3. I invite you to insult me, and that's the best you can do? Epic fail, brah.
I'm gonna rate you now. You can consider it a participation trophy for your really really special really well thought out big boy answer.
EDIT - Wow, I gave you a whole nother blue shroom! Am I your favourite person now?

Listened to one survivors story. One of the first. His doctor made the decision to not but him on ventilator. Reasoning behind this: Your body is going to stop breathing by its own when long time in ventilator.

However...
You keep slamming jsb with articles about Australian history, but I'm pretty sure he spent most of his life in the UK, and has family/dual citizenship in Aus or something.
Just an fyi, because I don't think what you're posting is relevant to jsb, or covid19.
Well, JSB spends a lot of time slamming the USA, and not in regards to COVID-19. I made the Australian connection to COVID-19 with the unfortunate situation the aboriginal people are currently in regarding their history and treatment by their ruling government.
JSB, are you really English? I hope you are aware of the crimes against humanity committed by the English empire on almost every continent... I guess they skipped Antarctica. Even the USA inherits most of its atrocities from the British.

You have a nationality legally, regardless if you claim differently on the Internet.
I don't hold you personally responsible for the past atrocities of your nation, and my original point was that you likewise shouldn't.
Pointing out your hypocrisy is not insulting you, unless it hits too close to home.

Us being the biggest bully in the playground there is really no need to try pinpoint things some other country made during colonialism to make your goverments shit look smaller.

So you would rather focus on the USA's past sins than the actual current slavery going on right now in modern Africa?
BTW, what I referenced from Australia is more recent history than the USA. Also, this isn't comparing past histories and colonial periods of different places. As mentioned above the exact thing you condemn from history is happening this very moment in many countries around the world.

Believe it or not people are capable of feeling multiple things about multiple subjects, and giving a shit about both. Also, the past is still relevant today.

This is the first black girl being escorted by armed police into an all white school.

This is her today.
This is 400 years of slavery and oppression, it doesn't go away overnight, it's this thing we call 'cause and effect'. Yeah, racism exists everywhere - the US has a very unique racial history and past - so why the fuck would you bring up modern day Africa?

Florida is rolling back to the older restrictions
Bars shut back down
DeSantis can’t stop it
A lot of younger people aged 20-45 are filling the ERs in Florida and Texas

So too bad for everyone alive today currently being enslaved and exploited? We know this is going on on a global scale, and yet appeals to past injustices are more important?
Quit making a dichotomy.
IF someone in my neighborhood is being physically threatened and in danger of being murdered, and I stood here talking about how someone else was murdered 100 years ago in a different country, you would say that is of less importance. Regardless of the issue that past murder creates, the clear and pressing issue is the current murder that is being attempted. So... why are we focusing energy on many countries historical pasts while allowing the exact same crimes we are arguing against to continue right now!

Yeah well that was part of the reason behind their dirty hands off / wash my hands of - approach. Time will keep telling how it goes as it unfolds there and everywhere else. Idk how much of their total population has been exposed, but here in the US I don’t think it’s even been 5-10% of the total pop. Meaning, there’s still potentially a lot more to come.

Mate, I'm already embarrassed to be a human being, and part of this cluserfuck of a species. It's cute that you're tryig to drag me down to your level and make me feel bad in retaliation for me sharing my observations about what's inside the imaginary lines that you love so much, but it's because of the way Americans react to it that I love to do it so much. They take it personally. No one else I know, from any other country in the world, does that. They take the piss out of the place they came from, they'll laugh about the bullshit. Here it's all so serious. Just look at what an enlightened American has to say on the subject:
The highest possible form of treason is to say that Americans aren't loved wherever they go, whatever they do. --Kurt Vonnegut, Cat's Cradle
But at the same time, even given all the cruel irony of being a human, there's something deeply spiritual and beautiful about this existence. I love every one of my brothers and sisters on this planet very dearly. Like everyone else I'm fighting a hard battle to try and make right of all this, as best I can. I'm doing really well too; I'm very happy and peaceful and I bring a lot of happiness to a lot of people. So I sometimes blow off a bit of steam by taking the piss out of the country I live in with people that live there too?
I'd be doing the exact same thing in any other country I lived in.

And when it comes it'll come hard.
Coming from a zero base to around five or ten percent is one scary thing.
The jump from 10 to 50 will be beyond imagination for our generation.
It's almost underway:(
