A lot of that data will never come out because it can't be directly linked and is mostly not even being documented. Lots of people have COVID and don't get tested too, so a lot of people having the damage won't even have the virus in their med history.

as are asymptomatic cases in both countries.
Going by the official data USA is doing worse. and anything else is speculation We know the official numbers in both countries are likely wildly inaccurate but its all we have besides our own speculation.

Over half of Americans delay or don’t get health care because they can’t afford it—these 3 treatments get put off most
The Americans dying because they can't afford medical care
Of course you can look for examples that confirm your expectations of what its like here in America. Ill save up some money to fly you here so you can speak from experience rather than clipping articles. I do live in America. And yea a lot of people avoid the doctor. My fucking parents do because it costs too much. I've also heard them say they didn't have money for pants because shut was so tight for them while my dad was making 200k a year and I was making 20k. Meanwhile I went to the doctor because I thought i had a hernia. Got imaging etc.... They sent me a bill I couldn't pay. And I did what I could
My parents would avoid the hospital until they needed an ambulance despite making more than double my income. Plus a huge savings account, plus great insurance. They literally read into the media portrayal of healthcare here so much they avoid even trying in the first place. I could totally see my mom being found dead because of avoiding the doctor for money reasons. And that's absolutely ridiculous. But it is what you'd hear if you ask a bunch of people from this country.

Just wondering if it was self righteousness that makes it ok to pick what is ok to have contempt against. The entire US can be painted with one brush stroke by you, with a self declared reputation for doing so. But you're especially quick to tell others that kind of behavior is bad when the opinion doesn't suit you.

I wonder to what extent prophylactic treatments—adequate vitamin D, melatonin, vitamin C, etc—work and, if it prevents or reduces severity of infection, does it also prevent or reduce the systemic damage that may rear it’s ugly hear in the future?
Are these 20-somethings going out to bars and restaurants and contracting it right now accruing the same degree of damage as people in their 40s, 50s, and up?
These are just hypothetical, of course, making the assumption that the virus is causing such damage in a sizeable portion of cases or that prophylactic options currently being touted are effective To whatever degree. If I were to bet, I’d say they likely help to some extent and certainly don’t hurt.
Either way these kids getting and spreading this thing right now do not exist as lone islands. They are a part of and contributing to a long chain of transmissions. More young people getting it right now is bad, because it is hard to imagine how we’ll be able to keep it under wraps after it proliferates beyond a certain point. Protecting the vulnerable may get ever more difficult.

I'm so scared I'll end up like this and not able to scuba dive anymore, apparently people are having issues with it even when they've had a relatively easy time .
Sounds silly, but there are gonna be a lot of young people with no pre-existing conditions who are still going to have to cope with possibly life long repercussions from this.

Aus has a pretty dark past when it comes to the treatment of Aboriginal people. Mostly in the past, but we're still pretty good at fucking them over.
However...
You keep slamming jsb with articles about Australian history, but I'm pretty sure he spent most of his life in the UK, and has family/dual citizenship in Aus or something.
Just an fyi, because I don't think what you're posting is relevant to jsb, or covid19.

I got Bronchiectasis. I am supposed to get a lung scan.
Bronchiectasis. Bronchiectasis is an irreversible widening (dilation) of portions of the breathing tubes or airways (bronchi) resulting from damage to the airway wall. The most common cause is severe or repeated respiratory infections, often in people who have an underlying problem with their lungs or immune system.
