Again, with all these new cases, and there's something I don't quite understand is the difference between active cases and total cases, like people aren't getting better, once they're in the system, they're totalled into a pool.
Nevermind it has been reported how there are several, mutated strains that may, or may not have been going around the globe since December 2019.
Hundreds of thousands of flights out of Wuhan before they shut down, and with a virus with such a high Rnaught, it is highly unlikely it wasn't wide spread before it was even brought to light, January 20th.

Florida needs to go back into lockdown. Nearly 5,000 new cases today. The virus is spreading uncontrolled. It’s a tragedy of incompetence and putting responsible efforts and sacrifices made in the rest of the country into jeopardy.

And what was predicted is happening. In another two weeks deaths will be exploding.

https://www.voanews.com/science-health/coronavirus-outbreak/where-did-they-go-millions-left-wuhan-quarantine
As to not spam, here's a snippet.
"For weeks after the first reports of a mysterious new virus in Wuhan, millions of people poured out of the central Chinese city, cramming onto buses, trains and planes as the first wave of China's great Lunar New Year migration broke across the nation. Some carried with them the new virus that has since claimed over 900 lives and sickened more than 37,000 people.
Officials finally began to seal the borders on Jan. 23. But it was too late. Speaking to reporters a few days after the city was put under quarantine, the mayor estimated that 5 million people had already left."

https://www.wired.co.uk/article/china-flights-coronavirus
"New figures show that flight numbers have crashed from 17,181 flights on January 22, the day before the announcement of Wuhan’s coronavirus quarantine, to just 5,095 by February 4, figures from flight tracking company FlightRadar24 show. . .
On December 31, the date of the first announcement, there was little change in flight behaviour – 15,574 flights were recorded on that day and 15,362 on the first day of 2020. By January 22, the day before quarantine, total flights had risen to 17,181. Then, panic set in. A significant drop off – 14,195 on January 25 – started as the number of cities in Hubei placed under quarantine reached 15. From January 27 onwards, as the entire Hubei province entered quarantine, the temporary collapse of China's aviation industry took hold."
See that? Over 15,000 per day, up until the 22nd of January.
Let's do some mathematics koods.
15,500 x 20 days (December 31 - January 20) = 310,000. . .

"The first confirmed case has been traced back to 17 November 2019."
A highly contagious virus with a presumed Rnaught of 2.2-2.7 allowed to spread from November to January before first actions were taken.
Nah, it didn't get out of China. Not before January.

Your arguments are all over the place. At first you were arguing it’s not as contagious as we believe but above you called it highly contagious. Which is it?
Further, if it is highly contagious, do you still not see the benefit of mask wearing?
Gonna preemptively answer that with a because “reasons”

Nah, it didn't get out of China. Not before January.
R0 doesn’t tell you how fast an infection grows. It’s a measure of how many new infections arise from each infected person. It doesn’t matter if it takes 10 years or 10 minutes.
In a naive population, covid infections double every week or so, so after two months of uncontained spread you’re looking at 200-300 cases. That’s about what we saw in China in mid January with the original case in November.

At this point it seems pointless to even try not to get it in America.
Isn’t it a lost cause at this point?

I’m in Florida. It’s everywhere. Or soon to be everywhere. Or maybe it’s still with the effort to hide. I really don’t know. At this point I think it’s just an unstoppable wave. I still think immunity is going to be short lived and after a few months you’ll be able to get it again but that’s unscientific. Just my pessimism.
