Was this a Global sticky to prevent misinformation? Uneducated guess on what the disease will do in America, the middle East, Africa. It's an opinion peace that belongs in conspiracy. Also fearmongering millions of deaths. It's not global sticky anymore, maybe never was but still it's stuck here in the pub

This has never been a global sticky. If you feel this thread shouldn't be a sticky, how about taking that discussion to the moderator forum thread on the subject instead of making it some negative public protest? It would be a staffer thing to do.
Same goes for the unprofessional ad hominem crap by mushboy.
If you have objections to this thread as moderators then act the part and take these objections to the appropriate place instead of repeatedly pissing on another staffer.

American Presidents are who want their criticism hidden. Just trying to say this thread is ironic in a bad way.
This thread should handle the concerns too.

Why do it behind closed doors? A mod cant object to another mods/admins actions in public?
I've made no ad hominem attacks. Worst thing I said is 'yall are acting crazy'.
And disagreeing with the information and the manner said information is being presented is not pissing on you.

If you feel this thread shouldnt be stickied, discuss it in the mod forum thread about this one thread, that you aren't frequenting and mushboy is misquoting with both your innuendo about global stickies.
Why shun the modroom discussion and instead attack a teammate here?

Staffers got each other's back, they don't plunge daggers into it.
If you have disagreement about a website action, and you are a staffer, you handle that internally.

I plunged a dagger in your back?
By disagreeing with your thread? This is the perfect way to review your logic. In public. That's what a forum is for. Why on earth would I do that in private.
Let's be clear, its nota website action I disagree with. It's your actions. Not the forum. Mod, admin. user we are all the same why divide? I got your back in the best way. By being straight up and honest. In public.

ok ill spend all my savings on fresh water and lysol wipes for the coming apocalypse. jk
Again. I said it is a good idea to be ready. I said that, multiple times.
I dont have a problem with people preparing. at all. I have a problem with people speaking with certainty on either side.
I" never said people shouldnt prepare. I said the opposite. how many times do I have to say that?
Its ok to prepare. its good to prepare. its a good thing to be prepared. we should be ready for this to be a big problem.
is that enough?
we should be ready for coronavirus. we should be ready. its a good idea to be ready. there is no problem with preparing.
how about now? do you guys understand yet?

This does make sense alot to me. While i dont have the fortune/wealth to prepare for such. I do feel ive been preparing for 2-3 yrs now. Stumbling upon such threads I always see more room for improvements interms of, Practicing a minimalist lifestyle togther with my wife whom givenup so much unecessary things aswell in her life. In the meanwhile most & majority of whom Ive known personally so as the closest one who are still stucked with such norms will face such sudden shift sooner or later on.

We lost power for two weeks a number of years ago and it was quite hilarious to see the opiate addicts on my street lose their minds when they couldn't get their Roxy refills. Prescription in hand but no pills to be had.
We could hear the neighbors screaming at each other, "You stupid bitch! You let all the ice melt!"
The same degenerate fucks stole all the gas out of my lawnmower and they left the cap off so it rained in my tank. After it was over I had to disconnect the fuel line and pump all the water out of my John Deere.

I mean we all stll take shipments from people in infected areas, I got pipes shipped from a man in an infected part of china, how do Iknow he didn't put bat saliva in my pipes and purposely ship the virus to americaa?? looks like the virus can secretly live in you for a while without symptons. COULD AMERICA ALREADY HAVE MORE OF THE VIRUS THAN WE REALIZE? Virus travels through Saliva, pee, shit.
Be careful. This is nothing big unless we let it get big. IDEK why they allow shipments from infected people to the uninfected worlds.

It feels like (in Australia as least) people are concerned about the wrong things.
Everyone seems to think they're going to die, or run out of food and although that is a possibility, the economic impacts are far more concerning to me. The worst case scenario would be a lengthy quarantine period like China has enforced.
The Aus economy is already under stress because of the bushfires. We have an unhealthy reliance on trade with China, which is nonexistent atm, and the panic of a pandemic coming to our shores is starting to impact peoples willingness to part with money.
I wonder how long my business can keep it's head above water if this thing goes supersayan.. 6 weeks, 8 weeks? How long could my casual employees keep their heads above water, given they don't have holiday or sick leave.
I personally have savings, but how long can your average person go without income if a quarantine scenario were to arise?
Nobody seems to be asking this in the mainstream media.
If I were a reporter the first question I would ask our elected officials would be.... If it drags on for months and mass mortgage defaults/evictions start happening? Will the government be able to convince banks, utility companies and basically all other businesses to pause personal and business debt?
It seems like this should be discussed.
