Fuck, 1/4 Million Deaths and that is with all the "Shelter in Place" and quaratines. It's time to get stricter and kick the quarantine rules up a notch. With those numbers I have no idea why anyone would be talking about reopening anything.
1 million beat the virus and 250,000 died. This is not comparable to the flu or anything else. We need to do much much more.
We should have the Governor of California commanding this war. He is doing the best by far out of any state and the Trump administration is just making everything worse and making us more of a laughing stock.
I really just don't get why the Republicans and Democrats won't stand up to him. Why are they afraid of a failed con artist? Trump is a guy that can't make money off of bottled water, selling meat in the USA, and he even failed at a Casino. A casino is a place where people come and they expect to lose their money. How do you go bankrupt from running a Casino? If you can't make money off a casino then there is 100% no way that you can beat Corona, there is no way that you could even make a dent in the number of infections if you can't win at running a Casino.
FUCK YOU Congress, FUCK YOU Judicial branch, and FUCK YOU Senate. Do your jobs and get someone in office that can beat this thing.
Oh yeah, and FUCK YOU DEA, just because you're a shit head organization.

Me, too. I would gladly be fired for calling out the VP - I'd even call out the P - in front of everyone for not following the most basic and important safety protocol in this pandemic.

If people were economically conscious drinkers and were aware of this fact, I think they'd either brew their own beer or they'd buy beer in large plastic bags to pour themselves. If not and they prefer the bottled beer, theyd have to realize that they bought a glass bottle for throwing it away, unless you count the experience of holding and sipping from glass bottle to be worth the extra % of money added to the consumable caloric intoxicating beverage

Pfffft. You ever brewed beer? It costs maybe a third less than just buying it at a store.

Yeah, easy to ignore the economy of scale. Not to mention the up front equipment cost.

Nursing home update.
Case total is now up to 21 from 19. Death count still at 3.
It's in my gram's section, they're testing everyone. Grandma is asymptomatic right now, but we expect to know by tomorrow if she has it. Turnaround for tests has apparently rapidly improved - results within 24 hours.
This is bad. This is going to be a slaughter. I just hope that people don't suffer too horribly.

In Canada alcohol is expensive as fuck so brewing is def cheaper.
if you really want to save money you can just put sugar is water and add yeast to that.

It’s pretty fucking disgusting how many people are basically willing to toss out the elderly like garbage so they can have a day at the beach or get a fucking haircut or whatever.

Because Trump routinely fires anyone who even remotely challenges him. People be scared, and I'd imagine this relates to why Pence didn't wear a mask at Mayo.

It was a heavy burden in her latter years but my mother could live in her home till her final day.
God bless you Morrowasted, my respect for you just grew more knowing this of you.

My grandmother requires skilled nursing and has alheimzers. She has heart failure and copd, she has rns at her side 24/7. When she gets this, she's going to die, mostly likely, there's nothing more that my family would like than to have her home. But her quality of life is much much higher in the care of professionals, and it makes a huge difference in her happiness to have been moved up from a slightly more independent(still needed help with pretty much everything then) memory care home to an actual skilled nursing home with advanced memory care.
Maybe being a nurse, it's realistic for you, but it's simply not for a lot of folks. Especially on short notice, in a time like this, in a home where there's a tuberculosis infection. I agree with the sentiment but I kind of hate how easy people assume it is, because it makes me feel like my family is less loving, less, devoted, and less moral, when we're just doing the best we possibly can to keep her happy and alive.
