Asante said: We can totally get va wave of civil disobedience of "Fuck no we want our life back" and a massive infection wave riding that surf. In fact today you already see the people who "just had it with COVID" and pretend it dont exist.
If that becomes a trend, even shortlived, you get very rapid spread before people realize whats up.
Completely unchecked COVID travels FAST (R0 3-6, early in china there was a 61x increase in 10 days) and our lockdown sets the vstage for a more highly contagious variant to evolve because we're cramping its style and that favors those mutations that are extra super contageousw under lockdown conditions.
What's the relation between cramped lifestyle and lockdown conditions that make the virus' mutations more contagious? The fuck?
Allow me to remind you of basic biology again since you refuse to engage your gem of a brain.

Only if the virus manages to reproduce in lockdown conditions.
Think of the lockdown like antibiotics. Most of the time, danger comes from not taking the full course. We may see more contagious coronavirus if it continues to increase its rate of spread in lockdown conditions.
Contagion has no intents, it'll stop filling the petri dish if you use the right materials/treatments. Pouring bleach on microbes is not a work-out. No organic material is immune to bleach.
Your idea of biology is : expose yourself to fire and get immuned.
Dilute your salt man.

That's ( people saying that once you have it it's like here immunity) all out the window right now because people in China and South Korea are being proven to be reinfected after getting covid

That is fair.
I'm not sure why anyone would be interested in arguing against the claim that there will be seasonal and geographic variation to the transmissibility of any given respiratory disease at all. If there is an assumption being made like, "If we accept this, then we have justifications for not worrying about the virus," that is not what I am suggesting. All I'm saying is that both lab and geographical-epidemiological data has been suggesting from the beginning that climate has an effect on rate of transmission, all of the data since has corroborated this. For people to say, "Oh but Louisiana, but Florida!" Come on, really guys? Those states have flu outbreaks too. Just watch the data keep rolling in. The spread here in Houston is very slow compared with New York. Climate is one factor that contributes to that. It's not 100% proven yet, but honestly trying to claim that climate DOESN'T affect the transmission patterns of respiratory illnesses is a more outlandish claim than that it does. It's really just a matter of figuring out how the conditions affect transmission, not if they do.

You're still not using your brain when reading my post.
You skim over what I write, making arguments against it as you go, and in doing so, completely miss the mark of what Im saying on all counts.
Discussion is futile that way, if your preformed opinion is that the other is wrong and you're no longer reading what the other is saying but reacting to the strawman you're building.

Corona measures short of straight up pouring undiluted bleach on it act like a workout for the virus to overcome the resistancve to its spread, in the longer run.
Is your reading comprehension such that you can discern that the above sentence says that pouring undiluted bleach on the virus kills it in all cases but that anything that doesn't kill all acts as an obstacle to overcome by evolution?
You are intelligent enough to grasp this on your own without this pedantic spoonfeeding.
Stop posting at me as if I'm some kind of retard and take the effort to actually read what I'm saying before contradicting it.

As I was waiting for a bus this morning I watched as a jogger, and his young son came jogging toward me. I could, if I had walked toward them a little, ducked off into an empty car park, but, I assumed the jogger would have veered off onto the totaly empty road, in order to keep, you know, social distancing. All too late, and before I could react, I felt the warmth of this fuckers breath as he and his son ran passed me.
Question: If I were an American, would I have been warranted in shooting the pair of them dead for having exposed me to such a potential biological attack?
Joggers. Fuck off!

Just saw this in my twitter feed.
Out of 318 outbreak events in China, only one happened outside. Most happened in homes or in public transport
https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.04.04.20053058v1
Quote:
Three hundred and eighteen outbreaks with three or more cases were identified, involving 1245 confirmed cases in 120 prefectural cities. We divided the venues in which the outbreaks occurred into six categories: homes, transport, food, entertainment, shopping, and miscellaneous. Among the identified outbreaks, 53.8% involved three cases, 26.4% involved four cases, and only 1.6% involved ten or more cases. Home outbreaks were the dominant category (254 of 318 outbreaks; 79.9%), followed by transport (108; 34.0%; note that many outbreaks involved more than one venue category). Most home outbreaks involved three to five cases. We identified only a single outbreak in an outdoor environment, which involved two cases. Conclusions: All identified outbreaks of three or more cases occurred in an indoor environment, which confirms that sharing indoor space is a major SARS-CoV-2 infection risk.

Believable. The most dense outbreaks here have all been in nursing homes

What. I cant just shoot him? Is a biological assault not an act of war upon my person that I am not to retaliate, or, "terminate with extreme prejudice"?
