The US also seems low in comparison. Even in NYC, where the overall CFR is 9%.

These numbers are so divergent from rates in Asia it seems almost inescapable that we are dealing with at least two strains of the virus with significant differences in leathality
3.3% Germany <5% Ireland
I'd say it's just down to testing. In the UK we're testing people at hospital, and people are only allowed to hospital when their condition is life threatening.
Looks like the lowest CFR in a developed Western nation is over 2% though.

44 different strains of the virus last time I checked.

Interesting, more so for the implications about nicotine as a potential candidate for some research, rather than the crowd common inference of “smoking helps against covid” or “smoking makes you more at risk for covid”.
Niffla I will snipe that thing out your mouth.

A new, larger study from France on hydroxychloroquine found that it doesn't help at all, and causes quite a few additional deaths in covid patients.

Well, I guess cigarettes may become prescriptions again.

Why did he say anything to begin with. No doctor would ever had the guts to promote a drug before proper trials.
Isn't it illegal in the state to promote a drug without mentioning the thousands of side-effects?
Who the fuck does Trump answer to and how come so much seems permitted while no other president went as far in his lack of professionalism?
https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-small-financial-ties-hydroxychloroquine-coronavirus-drug-maker-2020-4
Trump has a small holding in a company that makes it. Also this from the article:
"Some of Trump's associates also have financial ties to Sanofi (maker of hydroxychloroquine), according to The Times."
He's getting paid by his buddies to endorse it

Really not a surprise..
You know, until people stop selling out it’s going to be really hard to reach any sort of... world where people are fuckin’ sell outs. As Sprinkles would say ppl=sht. Does nobody have a backbone anymore? Spineless whores I tell you, spineless whores

Isnt there a law against a president using the position for commercial gain?
In the Uk MP's would have interests registered.
" The main purpose of the Register is to provide information about any financial interest which a Member has, or any benefit which he or she receives, which others might reasonably consider to influence his or her actions or words as a Member of Parliament".
Impeach!

Vaping is almost certainly a much safer nicotine delivery method. Smells better too.

Yeah, that’s why there was some commotion about him giving his kids jobs and putting them in questionable positions. He don’t give a fuck... I feel like on the grand scheme of things everything is going to shit, and they’re pretty much untouchable so everyone is just grabbing what they can before the whole place burns to the ground..
It’s run it’s course man, time to pay for all those sins we ignored..
