Maryland just bought 500,000 tests from Korea. The governors wife is Korean and she negotiated the deal.

Yeah hate to be cynical, but any company looking to get approval for their drug is donating the drug during the clinical trials

Why arent we seeing it at the pump?
We are producing oil at breakneck speed, suddenly the demand plummets so they have to dump it.
I hope my nation is filling up all its mass storage tanks for the strategic reserve cause this is a steal.

What it means is that companies that buy oil have reached their storage capacity and cannot buy anymore

She went past me so fast with her cart that I didn't want to run her down. I considered it and even looked for her after a few minutes of considering (social anxiety a bit) I couldn't find her. This was at BJ's, so like a Costco. Giant store.

Ima Trooper said: My wife and I were talking last night about how I might have gotten it already in January. I had a fever, (which didn't go much over 100) and a severe dry cough that lasted for about a week. No other symptoms, no respiratory distress, and it only lasted a week and half, so I'm not sure. But I can't recall coughing as much as I did then when I've been sick before.
On the tail end of that, I also had a vasovagal fainting incident which had never happened to me before. That was goddamn scary, I coughed hard, my head felt *really* weird, and the first thing that came to mind was "Oh fuck, brain aneurysm". I was 100% sure I only had a few seconds left, staggered into the living room for some reason, was plunged straight into a panic attack, staggered into my room where I have a xanax, and then passed out with my hand in my nightstand drawer as I fumbled around trying to find it. I came to soaked with sweat and still having a panic attack with my wife very concerned. That really messed me up for a while.
Hmmm January sounds too early for you to have gotten COVID19, but it's probably possible.

If covid was circulating that early we would see it in the case counts and deaths. The genetic study of the New York outbreak said that the virus started spreading widely in NYC in mid February. I’m sure there were some random cases before then, mainly on the west coast, but remember with exponential growth it takes just as long to get from 1 case to 1000 as it does from 1000 to 1,000,000. This virus seemed to spread at a rate that cases rose tenfold every week. You can reverse engineer that data to estimate when community spread started in the US and it was in February.

If we look at the death rate in the USA (reported death divide by reported cases with outcomes), it is 36%. It doesn't tell much about the actual death rate, but it tell us the real number of cases.
probably 10M+ people.
What do you guys think
