Most of what humans eat and do these days is "unnatural".
A calorie is a calorie, amino acid is an amino acid, nutrient is a nutrient, the body doesn't give a fuck where it comes from, it just wants to take in the energy and nourishment and turn the rest to poop.
The whole food ideology thing is dumb.

so they have a better ratio of Omega 3 to Omega 6?, we get too much Omega 6 in our diets from vegetable oils and processed food and grain fed animals and stuff like that, its really bad for you too, some people even say a cause of heart disease

fresh wild harvested or grass/forage fed, free range, permaculture is the best but there's not enough left

That's from Harvard. You may love bacon, but no, you aren't getting vitamins from your saturated fat.

he mentions legumes and dairy, lots of people have troubles with those foods, he is a shill for big food
plus vitamins are stored in the fat, thats why they are called fat soluble vitamins

When you eat lots of fat, there is a very clear signal that comes through from your stomach that you've had enough to eat. Not the full feeling when you're stuffed with volume. It is a different feeling.
Try cooking up some ground beef with a stick of butter and a good amount of salt.
Nothing else.
Put it in a bowl with ALL the fat and eat it with a spoon getting all the grease too.
Eat it until you feel the signal. It's like if you've ever been eating a lot of something and suddenly the next bite is hard to even swallow. It's just suddenly not good.. that's the signal from the fat.
Not the same as being full.
Once I began to notice this.. I realized the high meat high fat was leaving me more satisfied for longer after meals.
Edit- typos

Organ meats are where the most vitamins are. And they're usually fatty. Seems a lot of people aren't into eating them though, I hear lots of people say it's gross that I eat liver and heart

Correct there are alternative sources for the minority of people that have issues. I understand "dairy" is a broader concern based on genetics, but again there are plenty of alternatives.
Quit spreading ignorance.
Vitamin D is a fat soluble vitamin. This means it is absorbed by the fat. It does not mean that it comes from animal fat. The main source of Vitamin D, a fat soluble vitamin is;
Quote:
synthesis of cholecalciferol in the lower layers of skin epidermis through a chemical reaction that is dependent on sun exposure (specifically UVB radiation)
But yes, fatty fish is another good source, so eat your tuna.

Tuna is one of the leanest, salmon is a better option for fatty fish, and yes it does have vitamin D.

Lifestyle is going to be something to take into consideration when comparing diets, just tossing that out there. I feel like a lot of these ‘which diet is better’ breakdowns zero in on a specific and miss the big picture..
Use your head.. what does your body need? Eat that. If you get obese or starve to death, adjust your numbers. It’s very simple really and there’s multiple ways to skin a cat, especially with how we have things set up. Now, when the economy collapses, that’s going to limit your choices..

Both tuna and salmon are healthy foods. Watch our for mercury though if you are consuming a large amount of tuna.
But no, tuna is fatty when compared to other fish, while salmon is lean.

Tuna is a relatively large, cold-water fish considered fatty or oily due to its high omega-3 fatty acid content.
Low quality tuna may be stored in ways that degrade its quality, so... don't eat that.

The frustrating part is look how unhealthy most of the population is when left to their own intuition.
People have poor impulse control and binge on high calorie, low nutrient food leading to obesity epidemics. Then they fall over dead from petty viruses that the able bodied don't even notice.

I feel like we’re running multiple lines of thought. We pretty much have all the ‘rona virus stuff covered so the people are addressing side issues as well, such as diet.

Yeah I should've specified there are lean types of salmon and fatty salmon like king salmon. But the canned tuna most people will buy is lean. I eat a ton of canned tuna and always have, few cans a week..I might be wrong, but I think the mercury warnings were originally meant for pregnant women.
