This video is suggesting covid is a blood virus, not a respiratory virus. Explains something about bloods ability to . . .
I gotta watch it again.
It's causing a lack of oxygen or bloods ability to transport oxygen. Says it's like high altitude sickness or being in an airplane and having pressure slowly released.

People report that the virus affects the heart too. It may be generalized to a cardiorespiratory virus

Thats awesome. Go New Zealand! Theres something special about that country.
Ive been very lucky in Oregon. Not that many cases compared to the population of the state. Pretty awesome.

The east is stricken harder. In Québec, we hit almost 12k cases, 241 deaths, 0 recovered. It's expected to peak at 50k because the population reduced their movement by 70% by observing self-isolation.
It would be a dream to see the planet acting with the same reach and amplitude to combat global warming aggressively.

Hobbits. Sheep. And a great lock down protocol. What more could a poor boy ask for in a country?
Glad to hear that your home state of Oregon is doing well

Heart lungs brain pancreas blood at the very least. Probably all organs since the ace2 receptor works to modulate perfusion of blood

I think the word respiratory disease is really intended to convey the mode of transmission in most contexts rather than the clinical manifestations but i could be wrong.
It is just a viral illness with wide ranging effects on the body and the one you primarily see is respiratory distress. But when you dig in with labs you can see it is affecting many other organ systems as well. Breathing changes are just the most obviously notable part of the syndrome

What we call it will change with time and knowledge I guess. Much like HIV, which may (or may not, I don't know) been described as a respiratory disease when the first cases were detected as those developing AIDS would often die from the common flu.

I’m tired of arguing with people who don’t believe this is a real pandemic. I’m tired of trying to convince people that social distancing is working. I’m really fucking tired of trying to tell people that lowering the predictions of possible dead from 100,000-240,000 to 60,000 means that we are doing something right, not that we were all wrong in the beginning. Don’t get me started on the asinine shit our President has done and said. I’m fighting an uphill battle.
No, this I’d not just “the flu”.
Fuck it, open the country again. No more masks, stop using hand sanitizer and hug, kiss, fuck everyone you can get consent out of. Go to concerts and movies, bars and restaurants. Cough in planes and busses again.
Just convince your local government to purchase a backhoe first and decide where you want the mass grave. I used to work for a full body donation facility cutting up dead people for scientific research. I’ve seen hundreds of dead people between that job and being a nurse. I shoved dead bodies and parts waste into crematory fires. I’ll be more than willing to wade over the mounds of dead and pull them into ditches. It’ll be another fucking Tuesday to me. I’m used to the smell of rotting corpses.
Just don’t complain to my ass at the end of it all. I tried. I really fucking tried and I’m tired. Just let it happen. Let it go down in the history books and let a whole generation become scarred from all the death. Cause then, we may learn a lesson because humanity hasn’t learned jack all so far.
yikes

What if the only way to counteract global warming is this level of aggression.
I'm pretty sure the head honchos of the world have run many simulations and know the only way to preserve our species is to massivly reduce our numbers.
The question is, who will the algorithms spare?

From Paul Stamets in 2005, Mycelium Running:
Quote:
As ecological disruptors, humans challenge the immune systems of our environment beyond their limits. The role of nature is that when a species exceeds the carrying capacity of its host environment, its food chains collapse and diseases emerge to devastate the population of the threatening organism.

Or we circumvent nature, as we have done for centuries, and use our natural abilities of logic and reason to fathom our response. Population reduction.
There are those, people with particular abilities, that our species will require to continue. Algorithms might be employed to sort the wheat from the chaff. Maybe this is the time for the present generations time to sacrifice, like they did in the two world wars. I'd guess the Algorithms would suggest that the survivors of those times, along with the :tard:'s and other genetic fuckups would be the first in the firing line. There would be a very long list.

Texas governor Greg Abbott is apparently working on a draft of the executive order laying out guidelines for businesses and people when the state "reopens" in this new post covid world we now occupy.

Shopping and going in public is probably gonna be a different experience for the foreseeable future
I haven't been to many stores since the lockdown here but noticed from ones I did visist, they have "stand here" stickers on the floor where you line up, to force you to stay 6 feet apart, and all the cashiers have plexiglass barriers from the customer
