Yeah, but we won't. Just like most of us realise that we are the problem, very few of us believe that it is I that is the problem.
Great, great post. And 100% truth.

I know Logic, I'm sorry man, I thought it was a nice breath of fresh air too from the constant new case numbers and death updates but apparently the recovery numbers are very bad and upsetting to some people and we can't have those here because it's like celebrating the survivors of Columbine or something like that.

Its a bleek world out there man. Dont stop staying positive thou. I know i wont. Its a battle of Good Vibez vs. Death!
Just found this state website: https://epidemic-stats.com/
Really interesting numbers. Some countries are doing really well (if these numbers are accurate). Countries in Africa, Middle East and Southeast Asia have very low death rates. Pretty awesome.

Seriously what the fuck is wrong with trump? This is just madness:

Quote:
Some local officials are disappointed the federal government will end funding for coronavirus testing sites this Friday. In a few places those sites will close as a result. This as criticism continues that not enough testing is available.
In the Philadelphia suburbs, Montgomery County has a drive-through site that has tested 250 people a day since March 21.
"It has been a very successful site. We are hoping by the time it closes Friday afternoon that we will have tested a little over 5,000 individuals," says Dr. Valerie Arkoosh, who chairs the commission in the county of more than 825,000 people.
Montgomery County has been hit hard by the pandemic. By Tuesday the county identified 1,294 positive cases and reported 32 COVID-19-related deaths.
Coronavirus State-By-State Projections: When Will Each State Peak? SHOTS - HEALTH NEWS Coronavirus State-By-State Projections: When Will Each State Peak? Arkoosh says local officials staffed the site and the federal government provided much-needed testing supplies and access to a lab. "This site came with a contract with LabCorp, who accepted 250 samples from this site every day," and she says the county is not able to secure the supplies and tests on its own.
Arkoosh says the site, located on a local college campus, will shut down Friday. Similar announcements have been made in Colorado Springs, Colo., and nearby Philadelphia.

Why is he closing them? Is it because they spread COVID-19 more than if there was no testing going on? Is it cause of social distancing?

Less testing means lower case numbers. He’s that much of a psychopath. Remember this gem:

I was going to say something similar to this. I get that Niffla is trying to be positive or something, but I have a feeling that if he had Covid or a loved one died from Covid that he would not be posting positive shit about Covid.
To some people it comes across as a belittling of the virus or a belittling of the people who died because of Covid. When Columbine happens you don't make a list of the people who survived. When 9/11 happens you don't make a list of all the survivors. When the Vegas concert massacre happens you don't list the survivors. To me it seems to be in bad taste, kind of like saying "Hey guys, Covid isn't all bad, it does let some people live". I know Niffla and I know that isn't his intention, but it can come off like that.
Yes, it's good to be positive and remind the sick that they can make it through this, but I don't think this is a time to honor the survivors and I don't think it's the right place or time to bliss out and think of puppies and rainbows. People are dying, becoming incredibly sick, and losing their financial well being and security. Reminding people that their are survivors doesn't help east the emotions that any of that stuff brings.
Fine. You guys win. I will join the parade and post more death stats and stuff.
For the record though I wasn't "blissing out and thinking of puppies and rainbows". Or belittling the virus or taking lightly the seriousness of this situation. Or celebrating the virus "because it's letting some live". I am of course aware that people and families have been devastated by this.
I was merely posting a statistic that might bring a shred of positivity to those who feel like they're underneath a constant black cloud these days because of this shit.
I am deeply sorry to have offended anyone for having the nerve to stray from the path of doom and gloom and how we are all going to die.
Here:
Worldwide deaths: 91,783
US deaths: will be 25,000 by tomorrow morning
US confirmed cases: over 450K
The USA will also be passing Italy in deaths soon too.
Happy?
Can you return to the positive argument?
I'm sorry but that is frowned upon.
However I will be happy to provide you with updated confirmed case stats and death numbers upon request.
My bad please continue. I always thought good news in a hospital is something like "well the good news is you have a 98% chance of recovery etc." Or "no its not covid, just your run of the mill cold symptoms or influenza" or even "sir you are just having panic attacks because you cannot work and are worried about money and cannot stop watching CNN. You are all fine. Hopefully this over soon and we can all resume life as usual. The whole world doesn't usually stop just when a few million people are dying from something, so its very special we are doing this now to save the very few who need the help."
Haha but even that somewhat gloomy news but with light at the end of the tunnel seems to have no importance to anyone these days. we are all going to die? More appropriate?

even though it says "confirmed" i think they are including "presumptive" COVID19 diagnoses as well
"Data include both confirmed and presumptive positive cases of COVID-19 reported to CDC or tested at CDC since January 21, 2020, with the exception of testing results for persons repatriated to the United States from Wuhan, China and Japan"
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/cases-updates/cases-in-us.html
so not testing doesnt mean the numbers go down. looks like anytime a doc diagnoses someone with COVID it gets reported to CDC, positive test or no
the benefits of widespread testing might be overstated but idk

since its asymptomatic in so many people isn't widespread testing almost necessary to do this properly?
