Even folks who are already acclimated to higher elevations, you think?

My genes are superior, except for my dick gene. That one is just regular.
Edit: @pirate-blues - Yes, those folks in particular. When you live at altitude, your body compensates for the lower oxygen levels by increasing the total number of red blood cells. Blood doping is simply injecting extra red blood cells which is against the rules in most/all sports. Thats why UFC fighters and the like train in places like Denver. It isn't against the rules to train in a lower oxygen environment.

That's awesome and insane.
I'd be curious to see how the CFR % differs from areas of higher altitude vs. others after this whole thing shakes out.

I doubt it will.matter, increased hgb at higher altitudes is compensatory for decreased atmospheric oxygen
Maybe patients at high altitudes receiving supplemental oxygen will do slightly better dur to increase hemoglobin but I doubt it is significant

I think the only way you might see benefit is if moved to a lower elevation post-diagnosis. I doubt that is happening because there is no evidence of efficacy. A catch-22

I can’t find anything that explains it more in-depth.
No way 2 trill can be suddenly added to the economy without an IG overseeing responsibility of distribution in accordance with the governing systems decrees on it right?
Easy answer: corruption. He is straight up stealing that money and giving it to himself and his cronies.

it is a spectrum like anything
droplet A might travel 12 feet indoors but 1 foot outside. average 6.
droplet B might travel 20 feet indoors but 3.5 feet in size.
droplet A and B might the same size but projected in different ways. Or they might be projected in the same way but be different sizes.
droplets can also be "aerosolized"- made so small in a variety of ways that they can just be suspended in the air.
if there is a building with a covid positive patient in it, everyone can get it. it can get in the ventilation and stuff. this is why they use negative pressure rooms or units for covid patients when possible, and why medical staff never room PPE when they are in that environment, no matter how near or far from patients.
but for logistical purposes they have to set a reasonable distance. 6 feet of distance will mitigate transmision but not stop it by any means

People gross me out with their gloves. The guy at the convenience store was practically petting my cigarette pack with his gloves he manipulated money with and doesn't bother cleaning because gloves are somehow magical.

eh, people cant afford to buy enough gloves to use them properly. but it probably does stop them from touching their face more

as long as you disinfect your phone when you get home it's fine
I have to use clean/sterile gloves with the right technique at work... well, constantly... but at home, with all this going on... even I am reusing masks and gloves. the point of switching gloves constantly when you're in the hospital is to prevent yourself from transferring illnesses from one patient to another. but if you're just worried about getting infected yourself, wearing the same pair of gloves is probably close to being just as good as long as you're mindful about disinfecting the items you touch that you intend to touch again without gloves
gloves are hard to come by right now

Don't pay attention to non-randomized trials. Nurses are very much biased.

Conducting controlled clinical trials during a pandemic is totally unethical. If you think a drug might help a patient, you give it to them. You "prove" what worked after the fact by running statistical analyses. Nevertheless, in the meantime the anecdotes of nurses and doctors are absolutely worth paying attention to. These nurses are not the ones writing the orders for IV vitamin C- the doctors are. The nurses are just ones giving it. Nobody in that group has an agenda to push. Everyone wants all patients to recover. We have no stake in "big vitamin C". The original poster wanted to know what was working for other people, and got some responses.
