True, though I have heard that this virus is killing more men than women. Could be related. Could just be that more men smoke than women.
I think it's a combination of social and biological factors. Men work into old age more frequently than women.
If the ACE2 receptor theory turns out to be correct, then it's probably the case that anyone who is genetically predisposed to hypertension because of ACE2 receptor density is also genetically predisposed to COVID19 infection. Men tend to have hypertension more than women because of differences in the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system which is partially expressed in terms of ACE2 receptor function
Add to that, chromosomes, women are lovely calico cats. All calicos are females.

I like prof simon jolly voice, in explaining such.

I understand some calicos are XXY, but it's a small minority. One of my cats is a black-based calico. She's cute despite her borderline personality disorder

Rareness can be, males birds are xxy. Calicos are lovely, and have unique personality more on the female side of being sweet-moody, sassy-complicated. Interms of rareness, my muchkin calico once gave birth to a male calico, it was only alive for 3 days and then died. Havent fully observe how it happened and have wonder, is it instictly killed by the mother, genetic defect, or both.

The Dallas mayor was naming examples of essential businesses that shall remain open, such as hospitals/grocery stores/gas stations/etc. and named liquor stores as an example

They wouldn't want to cause a panic. I mean running out of toilet paper is one things but no beer?
Yeah, I 100% think it's about keeping people calm. Though alcohol withdrawal is nasty and I'm sure there are people out there for whom liquor stores are actually and unfortunately life sustaining.
I think they closed all the liquor stores down near me, but we're still able to get wine and beer from grocery stores/gas stations/takeout from bars and restaurants, so people aren't going too crazy yet.

consuming lectins that bind mannose inhibits cellular entry of SARS-COV because the spike proteins are high in mannose, if I understand correctly. Not sure if this will apply to COVID19
Great info, high protien mung beans soup are one of our favorites. We sometimes sprout em to recude the anti nutrients, or sometimes just soak em for a day to preserve the lectins before cooking.

Couldn't you make a big bacti-cinerator to put beaming over the entrances to your house. And maby a clean room to go stay in where everything gets zapped.

Freaky that this was basically predicted...in 2013
A SARS-like cluster of circulating bat coronaviruses shows potential for human emergence.
Quote:
The results indicate that group 2b viruses encoding the SHC014 spike in a wild-type backbone can efficiently use multiple orthologs of the SARS receptor human angiotensin converting enzyme II (ACE2), replicate efficiently in primary human airway cells and achieve in vitro titers equivalent to epidemic strains of SARS-CoV. Additionally, in vivo experiments demonstrate replication of the chimeric virus in mouse lung with notable pathogenesis. Evaluation of available SARS-based immune-therapeutic and prophylactic modalities revealed poor efficacy; both monoclonal antibody and vaccine approaches failed to neutralize and protect from infection with CoVs using the novel spike protein. On the basis of these findings, we synthetically re-derived an infectious full-length SHC014 recombinant virus and demonstrate robust viral replication both in vitro and in vivo. Our work suggests a potential risk of SARS-CoV re-emergence from viruses currently circulating in bat populations.

Emission, Deforestation, overcrowded livestock farming over conrete floors and not giving respect to species barrier(the birth of madcow disease) etc. have a huge domino impact, Nipah virus from bats to pigs is evident since 90's.
1-2 weeks asymptomatic incubation period.
Quote:
The symptoms start to appear after 5–14 days from exposure.[12] Initial symptoms are fever, headache, drowsiness followed by disorientation and mental confusion. These symptoms can progress into coma as fast as in 24–48 hours. Encephalitis, inflammation of the brain, is a potentially fatal complication of Nipah virus infection. Respiratory illness can also be present during the early part of the illness.

Yup. We’ve come so far in regards to technology & healthcare that in many regards has decreased the impact of these types of diseases.....but our hubris & disrespectful treatment of the planet is swinging the pendulum back the other way. The effects of climate change are obvious to everyone. Even the deniers recognize & complain about the symptoms; they just ignore/deny the cause. Disease is a far more acute symptom, which is of course being denied by the same morons. Basic physics; for every action there is an equal reaction. COVID-19 won’t be the last pandemic in our lifetimes, and probably won’t be the worst either.

oh look what the mailman brought...
50x 250mg Chloroquine Phosphate
Beautifully struck pills with an artistic malaria mosquito pressed into them. Rubbed a pill and tasted, the classic bitter-metallic taste.
Now I have enough for
The Chinese Protocol = 500mg/day CQP for 10 days
or:
The S-Korean Protocol = 2x 500mg/day CQP for 10 days
And I'm on the zinc already to make it a Chloroquine-Zinc protocol as per MedCram suggestion
I expect Holland to go Code Black in 2 weeks, those who will overflow the ICU's are sick already and incubating, so I might as well dig myself in.
I have the luxury that I can go in Full Quarantine now for a few months if it needs be.
Because my government is too fucking indecisive to go on lockdown,
I'M GOING ON FULL LOCKDOWN.

Edit: (after) WW2 was the jumpstart of green revolution (excess), agro-chemical based farming to increase production, which i believe is, not trully sustainable in the long run together with the impact on the soil biome, and the hazardous water runoff to the water bodies(rivers&oceans) during rains, Farmers are being rob by being solely dependant on it aswell as the health impact on the masses.

What nonsense. WW2 and the changes in the agricultural sector have literally nothing to do with each other.
The emergence of chemical fertilizer predates WW2 by a long shot and so do developments in mechanization of labor. Their increased adoption had nothing to do with the war at all.

Oh, thanks for the correction it greatly help during that time. Though after the war there was unwanted overproduction. Can imagine continual use of stimulant for the soil for decades.

most epidemiological curves are S's, though. This is gonna be a problem but I think their estimated mortality is too high for a number of reasons
