Hopefully these are a little more descriptive...
So here's that same plate a few days on. It's obviously not radial as one would expect from an isolate, but the growth characteristic has been the same the whole way through, leading me to just chock it up possibly to MS population density (many coexistent strains).

Here's another that had that same style of growth, but other things of concern, like the blotching at 3 o'clock. However, it went from that almost foamy tomentose to flattening out and showing (from 4 to 8 o'clock) something more similar to the sectoring that I've normally seen from MS cultures.

Of course, I know neither of these are anything that you wouldn't further clean up/isolate. But I do wonder if they're something else. Even just a vendor mix-up with an edible culture. Or maybe they're just a mold. And, as far as their afro's go... they're hardly growing skyward at all - not even on the same plane as the agar wedge they came from.
At this point, however, sating my curiosity might be a little more valuable than a quart of rye...

Here is my 2nd batch of LI from the new pour lid.
This would be day 10. A little too busy to update op now but will soon. I may knock these jars off my grow log just because i was doing a test and only initially planned to document 3 tubs. Im doing one tub uncased for shits snd giggles.

I put a T1 of RW to oats this morning, for experiment's sake.

Footpath, the first pic you posted looks really similar to mine, and I'm thrilled you may take it to grain. This pic was taken yesterday. Growth has been slow and symmetric.
A transfer was taken on 1/13

Here's another similar RW, though not as symmetrical. I plan more transfers.

Are these similar to yours, ya think?

I certainly wouldn't say I'm thrilled about taking that to grain. It is definitely not good practice and may very well end up in a useless quart of rye.
However...
It did at least smell distinctly of mushroom mycelium... so that's something.
And the OP update:
1 • 18 • 20• T2 Day 4 •
One plate (second row, right) caught some junk around 1-2 o'clock. Set aside. Otherwise, it's all characteristic of how it's been. Which..? We'll find out. 1 • 19 • 20• T1 Day 13 •Plate 3 Here we have T1 Plates 3 and 4. Plate 4 is the only one thus far showing any semblance of what I'm used to being cubensis mycelium (from 4 to 8 o'clock.) Plate 3, the one I chose to go to grain, is still maintaining its characteristic, albeit suspicious, growth. And I'll still sate my curiosity.
Honored my word from earlier in the day. Also took a transfer from Plate 3. More detailed updates ensue.

I got jack shit out of my spores. I used the same swab that i had made a plate from a couple days earlier and that plate germed nicely. Luck of the draw i guess. I literally have NOTHING going on from the plates done on the first. OH well.
I must of missed something. Those pics are great, footpath. But what's up with the bifurcated plates.

I'm trying to figure out a decent way to show the plates lit front and back to give a little more insight into their activity. While also trying to reduce the bulk of pictures in my posts.

This is such an interesting activity. Look at the myc avoid the contam. Almost feel like it's sentient.

Makes you wonder how much further a reach the contam has that may not even be visable...

Right? Is it just a signal from the mycelium network to kind of sequester that whole edge of growth? Or is there some enzyme shit or something of that nature going on in the 'clear' from one or both parties?
Although I've also had this:
But maybe that allowance is something to do with fungus on fungus? This one makes me especially curious about disease resistance/potential competitive vigor in strains/breeds. I wonder how well you could breed that into a strain...

January 18th:
Slow but steady progress. First, took these soft agar T1 plates of B+ to a pint of wheat each:

I'd normally do another transfer or two to get more organized growth, but since I'm looking for new clones from this grow, the genetic diversity is a plus. My main criterion for going to grain here is just that it's clean.
Random note: I love the idea of soft agar (growing out agar plates that will spread out over grains the way LC would), but in practice it's never worked out for me the way it sounds. Most frustratingly, picking up the agar on the scalpel is incredibly delicate and sometimes just ineffective, but the agar sticks too much to easily dump from the plate into the jar without tapping (which surely kicks up some bacteria in the SAB). I'm guessing this works way better with pasty plates, but I tossed all of mine during the last move, so the batch of soft agar I have now are on regular 60mm plates. Next time I use them, I think I might actually PC some foil-wrapped butter knives, spoons, and/or forks and try using those to do the transfer - should work better than a scalpel, without having to tap the plate against the jar.
Next up, did transfers of my T1 PE plates to T2 plates:

This time I grabbed one piece of the thickest and most rhizo growth from each plate. I also took a tiny biopsy (Josex style) from the upper left plate and dropped it to a small LC jar. (Made up two random bags of wheat grain and straw last night just because, and will try this LC on it if it grows out clean.)
Also, interestingly, note the random contam spots on the top right plate. That's almost certainly just-germinated cube myc, as far as I can tell, and I'm guessing it's from a spore-sposlion that happened in my apartment a week and a half ago when I had a couple tubs flush while I was on vacation. The parafilm on this plate tore without me noticing right away, so it was exposed to regular air outside the SAB for a while - just funny that the main thing to grow out of the air is a different cube.
And finally, I also took T1 --> T2 transfers from my condensation-heavy Pan Cyan Hawaiian plates:

Though the top two plates were almost surely the best, I decided to grab one from each since I'm still figuring pans out. They were all very clean looking, and I might've actually grown them out fully and gone to grain now if they weren't on the ugly wet glass plates. Once these grow out on the disposable plates I'll share good pics and get feedback from those who can judge pan myc better than I can. (I did, however, grab two biopsies and dropped them to LC, one from each of the top two plates, and will plan to use one or both of those on the bags I made last week if they grow out clean.)
Next update, hopefully I'll get to show some decent growth from the B+ pints. Fingers crossed!

updated OP
**1/20/2020 - Will be taking the transfer today to the plate that will go to grain. I think the culture is clean, but I don't want to use it from these split plates. (personal preference) So I will be taking a transfer to a no pour plate (holy grail plates) that in turn will go to grain once grown out will add pics this evening

Forgot to update with my grain prep Will be inoculating 3 jars tonight
JAN 18 2020 Soaked 4.5 quarts of wheat kernels overnight ~24 hours
JAN 19 2020 Grain Prep -Boiled water in 23 qt presto -Strained the soaked grain then added grain to boiling water -Boiled ~15 minutes -Left to steam dry in colander for ~ 1 hour -Loaded 12 quart jars 3/4 full (3 cups each) -PC 90 minutes at ~15 PSI -Let cool overnight

I love how the shroom popped up over the contam of all places too
Durgin Keep an eye on that top right PE plate. Don't be suprised if the satellites turn green in a couple days. But if it is cube myc that's pretty crazy

My home made no pour plates shit the bed so I had to drop some more spores. Good to hear I’m not the only one starting from scratch. Picking up some glad mini’s today to try again.

I also have zero germination on my plates from the first. I poured plates with a different recipe after a week and redid them and they all went off within a few days, so had to be something they didn’t like about the first agar mix.
