Damnn v fresh, must have been perfect timing just after that bit of rain last week?
Hoping to go out for a cruise on Saturday, hopefully some about although I feel like there hasn't been enough rain?
Great haul!

Noob Question.
Been doing the research since about November, didn’t find any actives over summer. Although scored a few Pan Antillarum for a feed.
I’m heading up to the blue mountains to see the granny for Mother’s Day.
There hasn’t been any rain that I can see for the past week or so.
Is there any point going for a look around for Subs given there’s been next to no rain. What about the impact of the fires?
I’ve been hunting in the RNP with no luck yet, assuming it isn’t cold/wet enough.
Any thoughts?

I was out in the mountains last weekend but was unable to find any Subs. Personally I think that we just need a few good downfalls first. Feel free to have a look though.

Hi all, my first time solo hunting. I know blue meanies have been popping up in my region and thought I'd do a wander around my property before going to known spots. I know this isn't a blue meanie but was hoping to get it identified anyway. Here is a blank list of the basic requirements that you can copy/paste right into your post and fill in:
Species #
Habitat:Damp pine needles growing out of ground
Gills:Lightish brown
Stem:same as gills
Cap:Brown,wavy on larger mushrooms
Bruising:No bruising but cap and stem both split when pinched
General location:SE NSW

I've noticed some of these you've pulled out with the mycelium still attached. If you want to pick these again, I suggest you don't do that. It makes it harder and harder for them to fruit again. Use a knife or scissors and cut them at the base of the stem...

Looks tasty. So I can see you found these in a pine forest of all places. Do you reckon pine forests are the best place to look or do you think it would be easier in Euc forests or woodchip beds?

Some databases like 'bionet atlas' and 'atlas of living australia' have spatial data for organisms of all kinds. People don't share that info here though. You could learn about the typical habitat to find your mushroom and then look for that habitat. Also learn about the conditions to find your species in. That is how you will know where to look. There are guides that walk through that info here though.
