So when dried my cyans were a bit black mess. I assume this is from the oxidation of the actives.
I assume inactives would not turn fully black upon drying?

Yes, it's normal for cyans to do that. Some non-actives will also turn black, but I presume you have already identified them.

For the most part yes, I am almost 100% certain theyre cyans. I did post them a while ago, https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/26474859#26474859 https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/26473043#26473043
From looking at that would you say there's the possibility they're not cyans in addition to the drying black?

Excellent, I was fairly certain but I've not consumed any just incase - anxiety is being a bitch. The worse that could happen is they're pan antillarum mixed in?
Backyard had some cubes today, these qts must have only popped up in the past 2 days, weren't there when I mowed the lawn

A few more from today's hunt.
Ps.papuana at 1000+m
They tend to grow solitaire in beech forests IME but are widespread. Very difficult to spot in the shade given their dark coloration.

Habitat

and some more growing along old logging tracks. They seem to do well in disturbed areas as they always fruit in large clusters.

Psilocybe sect.zap
One of my sect.zap specimens dropped a rusty print.

Various inactives

Another incredible hunt, my friend!
The rotting papuana, do you think that is their own myc consuming them? I have seen Amanita do that.

Just checked my spots, its been raining last couple days, and they're fruiting again.
I've seen Cubes, and I think some big Cyanescens down the road in a horse paddock. Also, same road, loads of blue waterlily flowers. Gonna plan a mission.
I'll try to collect some poos to chuck in my garden if they haven't washed away.

Thanks buddy, it looks to be mushroom mycelium as opposed to mold or parasitic fungi.

Nice stuff yourself Temps between 25/15 day/night on average. A few dips lower. Lots of temperate species popping up already in the hunter region. Here's some finds from Tuesday I hadn't had a chance to upload (no coverage)
Psilocybe alutacea

Amanita muscaria

Psilocybe subaeruginosa

All sfinds at 1000m ASL in some very pristine pine/eucalyptus forests.

Beautiful pictures! the umbo on some of those Psilocybe subaeruginosa are crazy.
It's weird how rare Psilocybe subaeruginosa is in pine and eucalyptus forests here in New Zealand compared to you guys across the ditch.

Thanks chipsandwich. They're found pretty much anywhere bracken fern grow. Perhaps the most abundant psilocybin species we have. The pine plantations just happen to displace areas they naturally occur and seem to provide a great micro climate for early fruiting.
