I just got done drinking some 2018 Year of the Dog Blue Label ripe puerh tea. Has notes of vanilla extract but after several steepings it turns into dark chocolate notes.

I've heard that's a solid bourbon. How'd you like it? I've been trying to decide between that and Redbreast 12 for my next bottle.
I'm still on my search to find the right cocktail for the wife, made pina coladas. If you're looking for something sweet, shit these are dangerous. They might be what she was looking for. Next I want to make a godfather(scotch+amaretto). Made a whiskey sour last night and it was far superior to any one I've had at a bar.

ive never had redbreast, but the elijah craig is incredibly smooth and mellow even though its 94 proof i believe. its around $30 in my area and its definitely worth it. very tasty

I wanted an old fashioned but I have no oranges so I came up with:
.5oz E&J .5oz Woodford Reserve .25oz Cointreau .5oz Demerara syrup 2 dashes Angostura bitters Stirred with a single ice cube
I'm on my third. God damn it's good. Could probably cut the syrup back to .25oz or eliminate it entirely. It's much more balanced to my tastes with the brandy. Brandy alone was too sweet when I tried it. But this is kind of cinnamony with light orange, having butterscotch and fruit on the nose.

It’s good. Trust. Even better is Welch’s with Aha’s Strawberry Cucumber. I was skeptical of the strawb cucumber but it’s very good

Spring Morning raw puerh tea.
First cup was floral and sweet, second cup was more bold with a honey like silky smooth body with mild astringency. I'm going to have the 3rd and 4th cups later. I've already had more tea earlier.

Made mojitos. They are very drinkable, although on the milder side. Might have to play around with it a bit. Maybe grow my own mint this summer, I think fresh off the plant would make a big difference.

Mint is such a great plant to grow. It's super easy and pretty much grows out of control. Mojitos are delish, but so is Moroccan mint tea-- feels so good on your throat and in your stomach.
