Making sure everything is okay. Or not. First time growing.

Good evening, everyone!

Recently i have ordered from one of the sponsors two grow boxes with the aim to cultivate some mushrooms, collect spores and ultimately start the cycle in this way.

However, i've ran into some problems that, it seems to me, may spell a veil of doom on this project of mine. Further i have posted a few pictures of the two cakes i have fruiting at the moment. On them i have spotted contamination, however due to being a newbie and colourblind i am not sure.

So the first question is whether the cakes are contaminated.

This one is Golden Teacher (up)

This one is McKennaii (up)

For the fruiting conditions i use SGFC method. Inside i have a hydrometer and a thermometer placed. I mist according to this thread and in reality it is about three times every 24h.
For lighting i use 6500K lamp at about 25cm from the cakes surfaces. Mean temperature is 23 degrees celsius. Mean humidity is 99%.

The second question i have is concerning FAE. To my untrained eye, one of the cakes starts showing areal mycelium. I have noticed on my hydrometer, that humidity rarely falls below 99% even when it's time for misting. My logic is probably low FAE, so solution i have devised is mounting a fan a few meters away to gently blow the air over the box away, in a way simulating a breeze in a natural environment. With this method i have the humidity reduced to 95%. I've only started now to use it, so it remains to be seen, how well will it work.

The same Golden Teacher as in the previous picture (up)

I should mention, that this areal mycelium appeared on the sides facing the inside of the box. The side facing the walls of the box has the grey-ish discoloration.
Both cakes undergone 24h dunking and have been in the fruiting conditions for a week now.

Ultimately, the question is whether i should discontinue with the cakes and try again.

Welcome to shroomery!!
I think youre looking fine there matey.
Cant see any visible signs of contams on any of your pics.Maybe a bit of bruising on the one pic but nothing to be concerned about.Dont throw anything out yet.
Just keep your cakes moist with misting(dont overdo it)not soaking wet-and Im sure youll have some pins coming thru soon.

Thank you!

And you where right. The Golden teacher started pinning the very next day.
However the McKennaii did not. It appears to have stalled and im not sure what to do. I am not taking out of SGFC for now. I have tried to scrape of the grey-ish thing visible on the picture and it turned out to be a piece of substrate.

I have looked through some treads on stalling, but it seems people mainly have this problem in colonization stage.

My question is whether it is possible to have stalling in fruiting conditions and if so, what might be the primary issues?

How long did you let the McKennaii consolidate. If nothing else works shred that cake and case.

I didnt have it consolidate. Those are mycelium boxes from a vendor. I have ordered them on 15ish of december and they arrived on 5ish january.

The next day it was the 24h dunk and into the fruiting conditions.

So i have no idea if they actually consolidated. But the sides of the cake where retracted from the sides of the box so i figured in absence of better information, i might just go ahead with it.

The vendors site didn't provide this information either. Their instruction said to start the dunk as the cakes arrive.

If the consolidation is the problem, how long might it be to consolidate in fruiting conditions and then start fruiting?

If i shred the cake, is it a good idea to try to put it in many jars to proliferate it?
