Need some input on progress
    #26440026 - 01/18/20 11:02 AM (4 years, 11 days ago)

I got these kits premade. I've had the dude's finished product so I definitely trust him. I'm wondering if it would be safe to open them briefly. It's difficult to see their progress thru the plastic. Also.... how do they look so far? I've attached a picture. I had a little trouble sorting out how to get the rest in here, but I think they are viewable in my gallery.

Cheers!

It’s really hard to see what’s going on, we’ll need more info about what exactly you have going on and how they were made.

I didn’t see anything concerning contamination wise, but that one longer tub prob won’t pin the best having huge chunks missing.

The more level the surface the better.

Definitely agree on the level thing. I was afraid to open it when I got it and there had been some movement in shipping. If I did it clean (gloves, clean room, sterilize stuff etc) would it be ok to open it, wipe down the sides/top and break up/level out the contents and kind of "reset" the colonization?

What I know of the kit is this. He mixes his own colonized grain or whatever with substrate and put it in these containers. My understanding is that you're supposed to just leave it in a warm dark room so the substrate can colonize and then open the container and transfer it to some sort of fruiting chamber.

I'll also mention that I'm set for shrooms for another couple months so I'm less concerned about time and more about results.

Thanks!
