Light too close?
    #26439245 - 01/17/20 08:35 PM (4 years, 12 days ago)

I'm using 6500k daylight cfl bulb. Is it too close to the tubs? Could it be drying it out? I've been misting 3 times a day which still doesn't seem to be enough the surface keeps drying quickly..

How many watts is it? Is it full spectrum?

No man, that's not too close.  It looks really bright.  Probably just the pic.

Three times a day and it's drying out.  That's a lot more than  I mist, if I mist at all, but they say evaporation is good.

Its 100 watt. My grains were dry before spawning but my coir seemed a little above field capacity but the surface never has beads of water without misting like I see on other threads.

Looks like just the right distance away. Does it produce a lot of heat?

What sort of venting do you have on your tubs?
