Hi my first ever post so be gentle.
My wife and I are in south East Queensland. We have recently decided to get into mycology both edibles and actives.
These samples were taken from a recent stroll in pasture after rains.
All of the samples were picked directly from cow dung.

The stems range from 30 to 80mm The crown are 10 to 20mm

Not strongly blue when touched but I'm new to this.

The very dark ones I am very unsure about.

This single one with another upside down crown next to it is bigger. 100mm stem and 50mm crown.
Any info appreciated. Thankyou

1) Some might be Copelandia cyanescens (if that's bluing I see on a couple of them)
2) Possibly Panaeolus papilionaceus (middle) and Panaeolus cinctulus on left and right ?
3) Some other Panaeolus
4) Maybe more P. cinctulus

Looks like mostly inactive pan paps and ants to me..might have some active pans in that first pic but its hard to tell..pan species arent poisonous so theres that..would wait for a TI to confirm

I see a mixed collection, Panaeolus cyanescens group and Panaeolus papillionaceus

Thanks for your input guys. I think I may enjoy this site.
As mentioned it was the first group that I was most optimistic with but the bluing was not dramatic as I have seen in others.
I have some species to look up so thank you and I now have loads to learn.
Hopefully my second forage will yield better results.

Just so you know, Panaeolus cyanescens and Copelandia cyanescens are synonymous. They are the bluish bruising specimens, the reddish stemmed specimens in the 2nd picture is Panaeolus papillionaceus an inactive species.
Another thing to remember is that it can take up to 45min for the bluish bruising to show in Panaeolus cyanescens.
Welcome to the shroomery.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know it could take 45 mins for the blue to show. I decided not to use any of this lot as it was my first forage and not super productive or super clear what they were. I'm looking forward to having another outing soon.

Remember, if growing directly from dung, has black or purple/purple black spores and bruising bluish or bluish-green where handled or injured, they are active mushrooms that contain psychoactive indoles such as Psilocybin and psilocin.
