That’s exactly what I did! Rinsed the perlite in the SGFC and threw it in a mono tub. Put my cakes in and left the lid cracked. Woke up this morning and see that most of my cakes are recovering. Way better to use so far...

Right! I thought about trimming the foil too. Won’t have to worry about water pooling

Sgfc's along with every other chamber design  work best stuffed, the more the merrier

My SGFC seems to be doing good. Took a few trys but that's learning. Now I have about 6" of perlite in a 50qt tub with ten cakes and I'm nearing an ounce after a month. I think SGFC's work but take effort. I started my first bulk grows and those seem easier but the pf tek works when you do it right. Every day I'm watering the perlite with at least a few bottles of hot water and misting until the walls are dripping. It's work but I work almost everyday anyhow.
