I prefer bbqing with charcoal. I enjoy that smokey smell and flavor. Propane grills, although faster and more convenient, suck balls in my opinion.
Here are some bar'b'Qing pics. Since no one ever replies to my posts I'll just share these pictures with no explaination. At least participate in the poll though.

I went to the store the other day and this nice fellow named Hank H. was sooo helpfull.
He told me all about the 15 points to buying a propane powered grill and showed me how adding some wood chips soaked in wine can add to the flavor of any meal better than charcoal ever could.
Them guys down at that Strickland store are real good, I think Ill go back.

Nice haul you got on that grill I generally prefer charcoal, but the difference in my opinion is somewhat negligeable. I pay more heed to what I put on my food, rather than what I put my food on Interesting tip from GabbaDj there... wood chips, eh? Where exactly would one place them, just down on top of the burners?.. or should they be thrown directly on the grill in a piece of foil or what not?

Charcoal tastes WAAAAAY better. The only bad thing about bbqing in general, and charcoal in particular, is that the smell is all over you and your clothes afterwards.

yeah charcoal is a lot better than propane, but sometimes it would be nice to just spark up the grill and not have to wait for the coals

You also have to wait for propane too...
The key is to have a good amount of them grilling stones between the fire and the meat.
The best flavor in grilling comes from stuff dripping down onto something hot and those drips burning into flavor giving steam which soaks into the meat.
Propane RULES...

yea you just need more charcoal in teh propane grill. charcoal can be nice but is a pain and dotn get even heat.
adn with charcoal you get more carbon monoxide in your food. nto to mention linguring starter fules. and so dirty.

What about those coal chimneys or whatever they are called. Its a long tube with air holes in it and a handle. Load it up with charcoal, stick a few pages of newspaper on the bottom, light it, and come back in like 20 minutes and all the coals are red hot and ready to go.

That doesn't make sense. Carbon monoxide is a gas, how does it get in your food?
