I donβt usually listen to El Paso, but when I do itβs after a 32 minute Dark Star.

Not a huge Dark Star fan typically. But I just listened to Dick's Vol. 2 (10/31/71) today and that one was quite good.

Anyone else keep a spreadsheet/log of favorite shows and favorite versions? I try to write a brief review of a show after I listen to it so that future me knows what to listen to when I'm looking for something spacey, energetic, what have you.
I have a spotify playlist of favorite versions but that's obviously limited to stuff on spotify. So I also keep a spreadsheet to incorporate stuff from shows that didn't make it on to spotify.
Would really love some more '77 on spotify. And some more '87-90. I feel '72 is pretty well represented but a lot of the other high points could use some more official releases.

What was "he doing" sharing an honest opinion about a newly emerging and yet to be understood new genre? Of course if you asked a 50 year old in the 90s about rap he'd have some dad answer. People are so mean to Jerry Garcia now adays unbelievable!

Likin the unreleased track, Chief. Damn he is going off.
How are people mean to Jerry? Seems a common way to go. I haven't noticed a shift, Jerr Bear is still well known prophet level. Right back where he belong.
I like the solos in this version. Think this was the first show without Brent So interesting to see Jerry's vibe with the new guy.
And just to liften the mood with an excellent Turn On Your Love Light-
