If you want a little more energy as opposed to the "slow and company" sound (no offense) then check out Dogs in a Pile.

Agreed, don't get me wrong I love all grateful dead but the evolution from balls out psychedelia/blues to the sweet country bluegrass sound, and the years where those genres crossover (like 69-72) is probably my favorite era of the dead. All of the 70's is soo good though.
honestly havent really dove into the 80s yet. Still finding new stuff all the time throughout the 70s, so if anyones got some favorite 80's shows, post em!

Here's a fun one https://archive.org/details/gd1982-04-19.mtx.tobin.89314.sbeok.flac16/gd1982-04-19d1t01.flac
Not exactly any favorites, but 80-83 is my favorite period of the 80s, lots of magic in there.
Try here, once you click on a year, sort the year by "date published" and go from there. Idk why they ever gone thru and changed the format.

I do love without a net and alpine 89, besides that all I've really heard are reckoning from 1980 and the 3/14/81 althea show
Ill definitley give 87 a shot, maybe pick a show for a day and do a little deep dive throughout the week while I'm at work, thanks

Dead and Company bringing out Dave Matthews in Boulder 2 days ago.
All Along the Watchtower Not Fade Away -Encore- Knockin’ on Heavens Door The Weight
Never been a Dave Matthews fan but he did an amazing job, that watchtower gave me chills.

Damn, we already left the Gorge yesterday and drove down to Cali to camp and wait for the shows, otherwise I would have been happy to give you a ride. Hope you find something!
