I'd start with like "live dead" and "Europe 72" "winterland 77" and maybe "skull and roses"

So in my anthro class today, the teacher had us listen to a segment from this interview with Robert Hunter.
It's probably already been posted here before but it made me think of you guys!
Blast from the past for those who already heard it..

And my God. I think we all know chinacat is one of the most psychadelic dead songs, or was at a point. And I knew the first verse was hard and I always wanted to learn it. But I just finally read the first verse to China cat In that link from Anthro.
"" Look for a while at the China cat sunflower proud walking jingle in the midnight sun. Copperdome bodhi drip a silver kimono like a crazy quilt stargown through a dream night wind.
Like what. Copperdome bodhi drip... crazy quilt stargown through a dream night wind. Man. Can you feel it?
All I interpret this as is counter counter beauty. I think the dead has always balanced there music with a yin yang like homage that will kinda whoop your ass then give you a hug and say they love you. But with songs like Chinacat and even Darkstar. It's like your in a void, or the whole idk) and all that is is and you on a fine line right in the middle but slowly rocking back and forth observing the light and the darkness, pivoting from one end of scale to the next in a balancing act that becomes the music that is making you move and feel in ways that harness such observations and awarnesses.
Some of the fucking best music ever man. I'll never get over it. Music these days is low par. Lyricist these days are even worse for the most part.

Its an anthropology class about methods and we were talking about ethics and listened to the part about his experience with the study of LSD and hypnosis...
I think one of the parts that stuck out was just how he described his experience with that study... sounds like a crazy time lol
I also enjoyed listening to him talk about his lyrics.. seemed like a fascinating and really intelligent guy!
