Hey y'all,
Just finished pulling a few of my first ever flush. What info would you like to know about the grow?
0.75qt jar of colonized corn mixed with 22qt substrate 3.5 weeks from introduction of jar to fruit harvest. Mckennai via LC from a good friend

What tek did you use or did you kinda wing it? Your spawn to sub ratios are crazy :P

The substrate is the coir (or whichever material you used) you mixed with the spawn. How much substrate did you use? Those fruits are really pretty, congrats on the first harvest!

Thanks y'all for the love - more fun photos to come along the journey.
I made sure I was very careful about sterility during the process, even through pasteurization and mixing the sub with the grain.
@Kmacmo & @MLPismyOPSEC
I started with 1 jar of inoculated corn and mixed with my substrate wearing sanitized gloves.
Recipe: 34% Coir (loose, not brick) 34% Vermiculite 30% Manure (Fresh, horse, air dried for 4 days in the sun) 1% Coffee + Grounds 1% Gypsum
Pasteurized in a pillowcase at 170˚F for 2.5h
mixed well in a 4 inch layer in tub, no misting needed during colonization (left town and kept room at 79˚F)
12/18/19: mixed corn to colonize, 5 holes covered with gorilla tape, 1 with micropore tape 1/9/20: replaced gorilla tape on tub with micropore tape, room down to 72˚F 1/12/20: replaced micropore tape with polyfil 1/15/20: first wave - harvested 500g wet fruit (have approx 35%-40% of fruit remaining)
If I could do this again, I would use 1 more jar of grain, pasteurize the sub for 1.5H I/o 2.5, find a way to retain some of the juice from the sub mix. I also would cover the last hole during colonization and switch to polyfil immediately.

What tips would you suggest I do to ensure a more even yield?

Looks really good! If you mist a little bit less next time, you’ll see even prettier fruits. The wavy cap tends to indicate overmisting but isn’t really all that bad. You said you didn’t mist during colonization, which nobody ever should, but did you most during fruiting? Awesome job!

I misted every other day, just a few sprays on the side - how much evaporation should I allow off the walls?
The two long walls consistently had condensation throughout the fruiting, while the shorter walls dried up underneath the FAE holes and I would rehydrate them.
The colonized substrate had water droplets collect throughout the process (and is still moist).

Yo, congrats on your first grow. They look great.
There isn't much in the way of 2nd flush TEKs. Just soak it and let it go again. Most probably soak them for 2-6 hours
I hope you didn't leave that nice big fresh one in that closed jar...

Those look amazing, please report back on potency, I’m new to growing and have gone through several teks with great fruiting results. I’ve had to go way past listed consumption volumes to get desired results. I understand the beginner methods are a shot in a dark, but would love to hear how those monster fruits work for you.

Reporting back on potency - a few quotes from my homies
"wild" "holy shit they kick" "best I've had in a long time" "woah" "thank you"
These ones came out nice.
