so im bored and wanna trip but want to try a new way of injestion. do you think it would work if i say, heated some water with some shrooms that arent quite fresh and arent quite dry, strained it and used the water for some hot chocholate? i know it works with dry shrooms, but does it work with fresh ones?

Dosage is a guess, though. But if you've seen a decent amount of fresh and dry shrooms you should have an idea. Don't get too brave...

they were fresh so they were somewhat hydrated. boiled for like a couple of minutes and let it sit in almost boiling water for like 15. filtered it and put some hot chocholate mix in. drank it down and didnt taste a thing! will update in a little while!

I was reading some information on a website, and I came across a report.
Summary of what was said: "There have been no studies or reports of anyone quantifying the amount of degradation at various temperatures, but qualatative reports indicated that boiling or steeping temperatures for less than an hour had little or no effect on the potency of psiloc(yb)in water."

Utter bullshit. Psilocybin is very stable. I have boiled mushrooms vigorously for many minutes when I have made tea. It came out as strong as any other batch, in fact I have had worse batches when tried with cold water. I only use hot/boiling water with some sort of acidic juice (the hot water helps the alkaloids dissolve, like other solids). It definitely works this way (extract them more than once and squeeze them out very well), then you can dilute to taste. Beware of slamming it though! It does work much better with dried mushrooms. I never seem to get the amount right (when using fresh), or the extraction does not go as well. If fresh, chop them up very fine, when dry turn it to dust. I cannot eat the mushrooms as I have a nausea/digestion problem with them. Tea has completely solved that... Before someone brings psilocin into the equation, most of it is lost in the drying process anyway (very unstable). It is the psilocybin that is converted into psilocin inside our body, that makes us trip. If you ingest fresh mushrooms immediately, you will get the added kick of fresh psilocin...

One of the reasons I will never go back to eating them (not to mention no digestion problems). Tea is so much better. But beware, your damn right it can hit you like a freight train...
If done correctly you should only usually need your normal dose when ingested (but I would add a bit more to be safe). The extraction can go very efficiently. Beware of using new larger doses and slamming it down though!
