Shrooms and OTC interactions

Hi,
I have some questions in regards to shrooms and some OTC drug interactions.
My doctor told me to start taking a few things, like GABA, NAC (n acetyl cystine) and L-methyl-folate (both May have interactions with serotonin), and I’m wondering if it’s a good idea to take them with shrooms- will it be dangerous or affect the potency?
Thanks

GABAs will kill shroom trips but it's not dangerous to mix them. No idea for the other ones.

Will it have any effects medicinally? If I take shrooms for depression, will it affect the effects? Or just not give me a trip

GABAergics will not kill shroom trips, anti-psychotics will. I use Lemon Balm tea with my Psychedelics, it inhibits GABA Transaminase and raises GABA levels in the brain, it doesn't kill my trips or reduce the benefits, just helps with anxiety and reduces come up intensity making things more comfortable. Idk about GABA supplements though, as in actual GABA which i've read isn't really that bioavailable and doesn't cross the blood-brain barrier that well, but i've never taken it.

GABAs definitely interfere with trips and depending on dosage can just about completely kill them
Obviously GABA plants in low amounts have a very different effect when compared with GABA drugs like benzos in high amounts

Assuming you're dosing GABA drugs in decent amounts your headspace will still change (though not as much as sans-GABA) but visuals will be almost nonexistent

Yeah benzos or booze is probably a bit different, i mean a small/light dose of Xanax or a beer or so, seems to be helpful for some people, and doesn't seem to kill a trip, however large dosages could definitely interfere. But so long as the dosage isn't too huge i don't think actual GABA would really do anything, i've even taken up to 8 grams of Lemon Balm tea and while that felt like too much, it didn't seem to dull anything down that i noticed, in fact i had a precognitive vision about my dad's death, full on, clear as day, while on 8 grams or so of Lemon Balm tea because i remember drinking 4 grams of Lemon Balm with my Rue and 4 grams with my Acacia tea. But like i said, i haven't tried taking pure GABA so who knows, but i doubt at the usual supplemental dosage that it'd dull anything down or kill a trip.

GABA comes in supplement form, and is widely sold in vitamin stores. GABA, taken by mouth, does NOT cross the blood-brain barrier, so it should not interfere with the subjective mental effects of magic mushrooms. GABA supplements act peripherally.
Just to be clear, GABAergic drugs (like Benzos, which do penetrate the brain) may interfere with a trip, at least when the dose is sufficient enough.
