Iceland is pretty unique geologically I think. It's on the border of two continental plates that are drifting apart. So there are processes going on that typically would happen at the ocean floor along the border of the two plates.

Interesting about the elfs in iceland. I thought you were gonna reference  to the alleged UFO base in the water over there.  I've mentioned before, my grandpa was an airforce pilot during the cold war in Iceland who was said to pursue UFOs off the coast thinking they have been Russian jets. Something too about creatures living under the glacier. They also seemingly have a decent fishing industry there,  or so I think.  They got the aroura and 24 hours of daylight shit.  Iceland is definitely high on the priority list.  Get a round trip for about 500$ from Seattle at the right time

If you want to see the North Pole I would suggest Singapore airlines JFK - Singapore. You fly right over the North Pole.

You get a nice hefty dose of radiation too

Speaking of radiation, cosmic ray bombardment is approaching record levels, indicating we are in a deep solar minimum.

While we are at it. Here’s a source to get neutrino swarm alerts. You’ll know that Betelgeuse has gone nova an hour ahead of everyone else

I always wanted to go to Myanmar (Burma) , until I learned about the genocide the government is committing there and apparently the taxes from traveling and paying for things there help fuel it.

But it’s cool as shit.  Not the genocide part tho
