Finally dragging my ass back to the gym today to put in some miles and start working on these muscles. I'm finally out and around the house actually doing stuff and I wanna make the most out of this mental health leave of absence. I only requested a week but I might ask the doc for more because I actually hate my job. I've been doing it 13 years now and I just don't have it in me anymore.
It is kind of a dick move but this time would be so beneficial to me to work on myself and actually look for something new in the process. I feel like since I've put so much time and effort into that company I deserve this. I mean I'm literally entitled to it by the state and company policy but I still feel guilty.

It's a great company and I used to consider myself a lifer there, but it's just my time. They've gone in directions that I don't agree with and it's best for both parties if I bounced.

Definitely don’t feel guilty. Just realize the “time off” is only temporary and that you need to utilize it efficiently. It’s pretty common to have an indebted or guilty feeling towards Your company you work for but at the end of the day it’s an exchange of services and you are getting the short end of the stick. We all deserve to be working towards a life that makes you fulfilled. You don’t owe them anything beyond the work you’ve already done for them

For me the most effective way I have found is ketogenic diet aka cutting the carbs in minimum and running your brain on ketons and instead of glucose. I have bipolar and keto kicks my mania and depression out of the door. Exercises helps, so does nature. Yoga does wonders. But keto is single most effective tool for me.

Don't you find it difficult to stay in ketosis though? I mean I love being there, but as soon as I've had a couple of beers or some cheat slices of pizza it knocks me right out of it.
I'd love to live in keto but the sacrifices seem to great for me. Kills a lot of social occasions, IMO, which are more important - for me at least...
