Can I PC pastyplates with PF Tek Jars?
    #26434906 - 01/15/20 01:05 PM (4 years, 14 days ago)

Or does the time the jars need in the PC too much for the pastyplates? It would save me a run of the PC.

Agar needs 20-30minutes at 15psi and 1/2 pint brf cakes need 1 hour so I wouldn't do them together you risk caramelizing the sugar In your agar.

Ok, that's what I thought. Thank you.

Cakes need just one hour? I was going to do 90 mins. Will anyway because I want this batch to happen safe.

Ah nice so no need to worry about ruining the agar then, I've always done cakes for 1 hour and out of 40 jars none have contamed but 90mins is safer I guess
