Thanks man. No caerulescens pins yet, hoping this patch will have more fruits in the next few days. Found 4 total. 2 large ones were ate up by slugs

I’ve been finding loads of oysters here lately. I have been checking the areas that I spread the weilii LC at and still no mycelia growth. I’ll make another batch in a month or so and spread it in the same locations. I always wonder if I see gyms cause they do look a lot like other mushrooms. Any things you guys look for when you see a potential gym?

The hair like scales that are on the caps if you zoom in on my photo you can see what I mean. Plus the yellow gills, and the orange spore deposits on the annulus.
Edit: a habitat photo

Boy that habitat photo looks fucking prime for some weilii. You should spread some weilii LC there for sure. I’ll keep a look out for gyms though. I’m in the woods often collecting oysters.

I find them here too. They just came up last year in this property. Probably close to 150 yards further in on a path cut through.

Ah how often do you find them in the spring? I have a friend who is no longer on the forum but he was a big weilii head and he swears he would find more in the spring than fall. He has given me a few spots he would hunt about ten years ago but when I look I never find anything. I guess whatever nutrients they where consuming are gone now.

Days upon days of mushroom mojo water falling from the sky. And today is like a beautiful spring day out here.
I have a feeling that 2020 is going to be the jam on the toast that was 2019.

I hope so, it's foggy here today and I'm on my way out the door to start the hunt for today.

Saw huge patch of psathyrella at a park that looked promising, though they didnt appear to be velutina. Are there any other indicator species to look out for? Also let me know if I’m wasting my time looking for these weilii still.

My opinion is that of no time out in nature is a waste. I always find blessings of some kind.
