So what, at this rate they'll be able to pay their student loans and medical bills in 30 years or something?

Its a positive indicator, for sure, but without an actual proactive policy that says it's time to strengthen the position of labour, it's just a fleeting blip on a statistics spreadsheet, destined to go away with the next recession or downturn.

What's a low wage job in America?  $15 an hour?  That 3.5% works out to a whopping 53 cents an hour raise.  Yay Trump.

Meanwhile, the richest people in the world, many of whom reside in America, increased their wealth by about 1 billion a month in 2019.  The working poor got 53 cents an hour.

Not impressed.

It’s because some states have really upped the minimum wage.

With arms wide open...welcome to the poli-sub! We should make a RIP thread for those who have tired like this.

It would have to have two tiers. People like Webster and XUL who annoyed us long enough to be remembered deserve more recognition than these guys who will be forgotten in a week.

Or we could have numerous segments like heavy metal. Anti-circumcision nuts, anti-vaccine nuts, guys who were probably molested by Kevin Spacey, etc.

Can someone ban this douche before he “blows our assholes up”? (Which, btw, is way too intense for a pickup line OP, but live your dream I guess.)

The Trump presidency was pretty good overall.

Is it 3.5% over the last two years or 3.5% annually? The former is considerably below the inflation rate and the latter is nothing to brag about.

At $15/hour, that’s not even a $50/week bump for full-time employees.

And I'm guessing $15 an hour is a little above average for "low wage workers" but I don't know how they defined it. (Maybe they said but I didn't read it). The majority of food service workers probably don't make over $10.
