I know it's contrary to the normal opinion and the actual chemical mechanism, but try it without the lemon. I found that, after a while, I got really sick of having lemonshroom taste prevailing through my trips and it would induce somewhat of a nausea.
Also, fresh ginger is way better. I like juicing it best, but slicing/crushing and adding it to the boil is also really nice - just strain it out with the mushrooms.

Are you filtering out the mushroom chunks? For me nausua is from eating the mushrooms, also mushroom gut / poops are a thing even with tea.
Ive made cold water tea many times and i can tell you 100% the water dosent have to be hot but it does help leach the goods out faster.
Ill put my shrooms and water in a plastic water bottle and shake it up good every 60 minutes or so through out the day and those have been some of my strongest trips.
Recently ive been using swiss miss hot coco packs in my tea and its fucking game changing. Cant taste the shrooms at all and goes down super smooth.

use them all. i use lemon honey and ginger. taste way better all together and 0 nausea chunks n all.
The only thing I've tried and really hated is the peppermint which is supposed to do a chemical conversion for you i believe. i find those trips much shorter and less pleasurable even a level of confusion..?.

And it worked hell of a trip, but i keep feeling really sick (my gf didn't, she has a tough stomach), I throwed up, and felt nauseas almost the entire trip.... so i'll keep looking for options, maybe I'll buy some ginger caps to eat some before the tea....
Or make your tea from ginger tea!

Yes, I used a paper coffee filter to filter the lemon powder

What are you using for a filter? Gotta go with a coffee filter if you’re gonna squeeze the soaked shrooms after you strain. Otherwise bits of mush are getting in, which is what makes you nauseous.

I used a coffee filter, filtered about half of the tea and the filter broke (paper filter), so for the other half of the preparation I used a cuple of fine stainers, and let the "no filtered" half of the tea sit till the remaining powdered mushrooms went to the bottom, and drank it with a straw from the top avoiding to drink from the bottom of the glass.
So we might drank a bit of shrooms but I don't think it was even enough to consider it the cause of the nausea

Yeah I usually put the filter in a strainer, then pour. You can also always double-up for extra support.
Just let the liquid drip through on its own. I noticed the taste is much better this way too.

I always use a dishcloth, so I can really squeeze the mushrooms dry after boiling. Last two teas though have been made from cracker dry mushrooms; the y broke more or less into powder with little effort. I got stomach ache from this tea, when in the previous few years making tea from air-dried mushrooms, no nausea or stomach ache ever.....I reckon quite a lot of the powder must have got through the cloth.

Exactly why I go with coffee filters. They don’t even let much spores through (only noticed this cause the water comes out super clean, whereas when I used a paper towel it was almost gray.)
Honestly, I haven’t noticed a difference since I stopped squeezing those last drops out. First time I did it to try and backpedal on the 5g PE dose in my cup lol...whatanight, anyway...now that I know it doesn’t matter, I just pick the filter up, let it drip over the cup for 5 seconds and toss.

Yeah, think I’ve eventually got it. You see, when I started back with mushrooms 4 years ago, I used coffee filters. But they always tore, so I resorted to a dishcloth (back in the day, we used to use my ex’s tights!). So I think next tea will be strained; funnel, coffee filter, then dishcloth. When strained through, squeeze the mushroom pulp with the dishcloth through the coffee filter 👍🏻
