Those small ones will be ready Friday.

I have a bunch of pictures here today. I spent the day foraging for edible plants but I found a ton of weilii along the way. Here are some habitat shots. Please note the tufts of grass.

I've been finding many of them hiding out inside or around those grass tufts.

Can you see how well they hide sometimes?

Some grass buddies.

Notice how dark this area has become from sporulation.

And here are some assorted closeup shots from the day. My photography skills and equipment aren't as great as some of you but I made an effort today for this thread.

Ah man sweet habitat photos! Those will help more future noobs than you can think of. I love how everyone is finding them this year. I struggled so much my first year. I haven’t seen anyone having too much trouble this year.

Yoo I'm saying! All y'all hunting with the cheat codes on. My first year was an epic fail. This has been such great year with posts from so many different folks.

If someone were to take a trip down to GA where and when would be the best place to find some of these bad boys? Not sure if the mycelium can withstand cold temperatures but it would be a joy to get some clones and start a few beds up north

Watch the weather of the city you plan to visit. Come a few days after a rain. Anytime before December is usually good for weilii.

Wow another patch at another Gwinnett park. Every new patch is still just as exciting as the first. Make sure you guys are checking around storm drains.

Went back to my patch to collect the younger ones from yesterday. Spent more time crouched and scanning. So many more kept showing up. This is the same spot I've found them all summer and they were nice. Now it's fall and they're so little!

Found just a few yesterday.

Too busy to get out to hunt. Seeing all these finds and sweet pics is killing me. Good work everybody. Big congrats to all the new guys out there crushing it. Took me years to find my first actives. Some of these hauls are bigger than all my prior hauls combined!

Fuck man, I have passion fruit / maypops growing everywhere that I look, I just can't find weilii. Plan on getting back out tomorrow to get after it since I've been out of town again.

Bam. Only one I’ve found in my patch and first one in 3 years. Think I should let it produce spores in the hopes that the patch gets more productive?
