Several isolated finds today. This one was too pretty not to share. Caramel capped and 3” across. Sorry for the low light photo.

Hi Everyone! Longtime lurker / first time poster. I've been spending a lot of time out searching woodlands in Cherokee County since those hurricane rains came through a couple weeks back. There was way more growth today than their has been the last couple weeks.
I've been trying to target the sorts of habitats I've read are good for woodland wielii (fallen, decaying loblolly pines; near stream or runoof). This area has also had some recent deforestation due to pine beetle infestations.
I'm not sure any of the ones below are Weilii, but finding a lot that look similar.

Please make your own thread, this is for actives only and showing off said actives. Welcome to the shroomery though! Best of luck on your hunts.

None of those are weilii. And to be 100% honest with you I wouldn't bother trying to look through the middle of pine forests. There are better more accessible locations that you'll more than likely have more success in. Disturbance is the main thing you should be concerned with. Look through some of these threads. you won't find these guys fruiting from logs

Welcome to the shroomery! I love your enthusiasm but please don’t eat any of these. You should make your own ID request thread and the experts will be happy to identify these for you. These are some really freaking cool pictures, this just happens to be the wrong thread for not-yet-identified mushrooms.

Ok i made a separate ID post this time and got a positive idea back for Weilii.
bottom of a hill just down from a ~10 year old residential development; Cherokee County, Georgia; about 10 feet up the hill from a valley with a stream; relatively steep hill slope
Hopefully the pictures show the rest. Can add a spore print once that's done.
