Has anyone tried enriching a known productive patch (ie. increasing moisture, food source, optimizing growing conditions)? I’ve got a spot in the woods I could experiment with...

I just cutdown a good bit of briars and loaded more pine needles and sticks to feed one of the patches. Just don’t over feed them, like smothering the ground probably isn’t the best.

IMO, they seem to like the blackberry bushes, ferns, and overgrowth. Planning to leave that intact. Any fertilizers, soil enrichment, or cultivative care tips welcome. Anybody experiment with breathable/porous coverings? Thinking along the lines of creating microclimate in natural settings.

Yeah they do like the blackberry stalks. That’s what I laid down. Seems like they like many types of decaying organic matter.

Few more days and they should pop again. That’s my experience with lacremaria. You will usually see them fruit a few days before

Traveled up to alpharetta to do some searching, wasn't let down. That last guy was already knocked over on its side. Which one of you weasels is responsible?

And now for my much prefered hunting habitat... the woods!

These guys and a few others were growing out of an embankment perpendicular to a creek below.

I found a load of lacrymaria pins today at this potential spot. The spot was graded a few years ago and it’s just huge hills of fresh long grass. It looks so damn promising but when I started to look it began to pour down so I had to leave. It’s very remote too so it’s nice and gives me a peace of mind that I won’t be seen.
I also mowed a few weilii today by accident. I saw them right before I mowed them and I checked the stipe to confirm it was weilii and they where. Nice white powder on the stipe.

I fucking wish I could find woodland weilii. It’s so much more comfortable picking them.

Yes it really is! My paranoia really stresses out my poor heart hunting in public places.
And dang dude not again. That is totally a decapitated weilii. That cocaine stipe is a dead giveaway lol

Dude I slaughter more weilii than I pick lol. I didn’t think they would be on this property. It’s a very old house and hasn’t been graded or anything since the 80s I would assume.

hey guys can anyone tell me if these are atlantis or just really small weilii? my girl found these out in some woods not far from a clearing just as it was getting dark i have no clue how she even saw them lol she did accidentally grab a small black snake in the leaves but no harm came to either of them. they had to be decently potent since even though it was moderately felt i only ate 1 and these things were almost as small as mycena. sorry for only one habitat pic (which u can barely see the fruit in dead center of) ground was semi-flat and i think most were growing next or out from under a branch. there were a couple more even tinier ones growing close to and around the the 2 little patches that were maybe 30 yards apart could those have been the same thing or prbly not they were just mycena
