Found another new spot today. Just moved so I’ve been looking around my new house and I’m 2 out 3 spots so far.

They take longer to mature, they don’t come up over night. Rain makes the swell and grow faster in my experience. I have seen them in every stage this week from decay to pins. Mycelium networks store water on the first couple rains and use that to push fruit bodies up for sporulation. Right now is the time to be looking with sustained rains all this week and some last week

Right now is 100% the time to be checking your spots and looking for new ones. Shit is blowing up and there are still new pins being pushed.

Dang phishhead... that’s awesome. Nice finds. Would love to have that kind of success finding new patches... I’m like 1/1000.
Where abouts are the new digs? Which county?

Any luck in the Dacula area? Been looking for the past few days and haven't found anything, just a bunch of perfect spots with no signs. Just curious as I would love to not have to drive to and from Cherokee to find actives.

Has anyone had luck in Douglas county? i've searched many miles of pine trails near my house and a handful of flood basins that are mowed constantly. Everything but the goodies. Temperatures were around 72 last week which leads me to believe it's just not cool enough quite yet in comparison to more northern counties. Raining non-stop for 2 weeks.

My half of what all could be fit in a tied up t-shirt.

These all exploded up within last couple of days. There were more of those tight clusters just breaking surface and lots hiding in taller grass. Edit: Seem to be pretty potent too, he got effects just from biting off the butts.

I was anxious to see what the spot was looking like after seeing all these crazy flushes. I hurt my ankle so I couldn't get out to this spot. Let's just say I'm glad my friend came through. Couldn't have been better timing. You were so right.

Yea... today was a good day. Found about one full paperbags worth. There are several different patches all within one undeveloped section of a neighborhood. The area has lots of hills, pine trees young and old, and empty grass plots, with electrical boxes and light poles on the hills. A road runs through the neighborhood which is where I forage and walk my dog almost every day. There are several other species that grow in the same area. Today I saw lepiota, parasols, amanita, and lacrymaria. Whats crazy to me is that this appears to only be the beginning of the season. In November of 2019, this same area produced well over 3 bags full. If that's any indicator for how this year will play out, then I should really invest in a dehydrator.
