Found one small patch of weilii in november and there hasnt been a single mushroom pop up there since

I find that patches that grow in the warm months usually grow in the warm months and cooler months. The patches I find in the cool months sometimes grow in the warm months but mostly in the cooler months if that makes sense. Anyone else notice this?

Cool man, thanks for the tip! Im waiting for the day I find one of those fat daddy warm patches then!
Got 3.5 hours of hunting in today and all i found was a busted up puff ball and some ink cap lookin shit.
Started bringing my roomies dog with me on hunts though and i feel way less conspicuous. Walked through part of a highschool ball field and instead of being questioned or gawked at this group of ladies complimented my well behaved dog lmao

Was hoping for some cyans, or a good patch of tampanensis this go around. But the Gyms coming back up where cool. Even though they got found by slugs again.
Hoping for a good weekend though.

Beautiful cube!
Speaking of which; Has anyone ever had any luck searching horse trails for cubies? I know they're rare on horse manure and the chances of a horse shitting on a trail is also kind of low, so it's quite a long shot. Still feels like a better idea than trespassing on someone's farm though.

Bloody, I swear I see that form of weilii and pass on it as a regular old mushroom. I gotta start looking more closely. That phenotype looks so much like regular mushrooms.

Yea psathyrella and lacrymaria always fool me. I see ones like those and I’m like,” ahh it’s just a regular mushroom.”
Only the fatties and the obvious nipple ones stand out instantly to me.
Plus I an usually working so I don’t take too much of a look like I should.

Left these three wise men to continue to drop their spores

Pinnage

Honestly don't know how I spotted a couple of those pins. They were all by their lonesome, blending in so well with surrounding foliage.

They’re the most potent in that size. Not really a pin but definitely not mature.
