My best spot got dozed through again. May be good for later this year or next, but don't think I'll be seeing any production there any time soon.

That could turn out to be bonkers. Churning up all that live mycelium and exposing it to fresh food sources? I'd still check on it if I were you.

Few from this morning. Checked two other spots with no luck at either.

Are these in a "lawn" type environment or deep woods. Been wanting to check my lawn spot but its a drive to make for nothing

These were found in a strip of grass between a paved trail and wooded area at public park.
Edit: It's close enough to the tree line to stay shaded for most of the day. If your grass patch is direct sun it still may be too hot but who knows.

I don't believe there was actually. There may have been but there were also a lot of other hardwoods as well

That’s good to know! So basically they grow where they want and do what they want to do!! My type of mushy. Honestly they are probably more abundant than we know of.

I'm loving these summer finds y'all. I get on shroomery hoping to see activity in this thread. The hunting forum is uber saturated with Australian finds which really don't interest me all too much.

Yeah, pines and sweet gums do not matter in my experience. It just happens that pines and sweet gums tend to pop up soon after the ground is disturbed. Any disturbed area is fine, even if sweet gums and pines aren't the dominant tree in the area.

Cool man, thanks! Yeah my fall spot only fruits where the shade is too, and there is only shade there in the fall.

Just curious if potential weillii spots would be washed away with all of the rain we got near me? It literally flooded like 2 feet in 1hr by me and some of the near by parks. Or does the extreme rain help with fruiting when it has been so dry? I’ve got several species just on my property alone that came alive overnight. Plus the weather just got 7 degrees cooler all of a sudden, but I know it’s just temporary. Thanks
