Awesome! Have you tried any of those guys yet?

Nope not yet. I heard that it takes a lot of them actually. I've just been collecting a few each day. Spore printing, then dehydrating. I would like more information though. I very rarely need to actually trip. I think these could be perfect candidate for micro/low dose but I dunno how much it takes. If I want to dive deep I've got Weilii.

Anyone else notice any variation of weilii afte drying? The weilii I found a few years ago where mature specimens and dried completely jet black and very light and papery. The weilii chodes I dried this week retained their color. The stipe is white with tons of blue and the cap is dark brown. They are not COMPLETELY dry but almost there. If I compared the two dried shrooms from the separate times you would not think they are the same species.

This is from personal experience, not fact.

The ones that dry like flaky paper are weaker than ones that dry intact and crunchy. I've had probably every phenotype from the wild (back in the glory days) and I've found that the more sturdy they are when they're dry, the stronger they are.

^ Would be interesting to see alkaloid content quantified from different phenotypes and during different seasons. I noticed that the phenotype seems to change as the season progresses from spring to fall. But regardless of phenotype/season, I always got banished to the aztec spirit realm.

The ones I found recently where just so fat and thick compared to the last time I found them. The first ones I found looked like everyone else’s so far on here. Tall, slender, mature and not much bluing. These fucks where immature, thiiick and blue all over. I found them in a customers yard so even if they do pop again I won’t take them. I had anxiety through the roof taking them.

I know this sounds weird but I used to use my dresser as a dryer. I had this nice actual wood dresser that had an empty drawer, I put some pans in there one night to keep them out of sight of little eyes and they dried completely overnight. Tried it with caerulescens and within 2 days they were cracker dry. The variation in the caps I've noticed too, sometimes they dry dark brown and sometimes they dry bright gold but I never noticed a potency issue at all between them.

Nah, I assume the wood was so dry that is absorbed ever bit of moisture.
