Found a few more and some aborted pins in some mulch too!
I took a wood chip that the mushrooms where attached to and stuck it in some wet hardwood pellets in a container. Hopefully it grows!

What’s the easiest way to tell a gymn from galerina? The scaling?
Galerina looks so different forom gymns I am just trying to see how people can mix them up

The fuzzy vs. viscid caps are a good start. The stipe looks profoundly different to me, given the purple vein striations on gyms.
I believe the main issues with mixups are around potential coloration, spore print, and growing condition similarities. Checking the cap smoothness at harvest has helped me a lot. Old gyms could lose their roughness and resemble the smooth, slick cap of a galerina, but I usually only harvest the fresh gyms anyways.

I dont see how anyone could unless youre just not paying attention to the details. But they can alsonshare habitats. Maybe they just pic everything they seeing?

Thats what I am thinking. They must just get excited about it and pick everything that even resembles gymns.

Well, the gyms I found ended up 30 grams at cracker crisp. They dried with blue dots in the center of the cap. Never seen that before.

You'll need more than that in my experience. I've eaten about 50 grams into a tea and didn't have much of any trip at all

Yeah, seems like lots of folks have been disappointed by gyms. My experience on 4g dry last month surprised me. Light on the visual trip, but heavy on the bodily experience. After a few hours of emotional flushing, noticing extra beauty, and laughing to myself, the night ended with a long sit in a light drizzle. Shit was unexpectedly good.

Its odd how they can vary so much. Youre a wild man taking 50 grams of any mushroom. Didnt you used to take 10Gs of weilii? I took 6 grams and completely blasted off and freaked out towards the end of it. It was wayyy too much.

Methinks 6g of Weilii would do that to most anyone.

Yeah it's weird. I have a high tolerance I guess. 6g of caerulescens is like where I wanna be for a mellow trip. A good trip is around 7 or 8. If I wanna dive deep into it I go for 10g. But then again it's been over a year since I've dosed so who knows lol

You're a legend.. You had to have had some sort of insane tolerance back in the day.

I had a fucking fantastic time for about an hour or two while on 6 grams. My wife bought a pizza and I remember looking at it and I almost puked it looked so strange. It was green and moving and I felt like it had eyes. Then I look at my friends face and my wife's they would have like 6 eyes then 6 mouths and kept shape shifting. It was awesome I was laughing the whole time. Then I think the amount of mushrooms started to make me feel ill. Thats when it went down hill. My thoughts started racing negative thoughts. I got naked in front of my friend and my wife and went to the bathroom. All while having unexplainable visuals. I stared down the drain for a while in shower thought I was going into some blue pit of hell. Then I started to come down.
I know this is the experience thread so I won't go any further. Do you hunt at all anymore Cham?

This! I've never had a bad trip, but I've had some interesting experiences.
