For those of you who have spots that produce regularly, is the mycelium there still visible during a non-fruiting period like now? I've still been scouring my area for recently disturbed terrain, and have stumbled across a stretch of sloped land where there's thick white (yellowish in some spots) mycelial growth under pine straw. Could this possibly be from weilii?

I don’t see mycelium year round in my known spots. That said, anything is possible

Yeah I normally only see it when its close to fruiting.  I imagine the mycelium is going crazy right now though. Hopefully it'll be a good season, if it keeps up and  doesnt waterlog it first.

If it's mycelium, you should go back and check it in the spring/summer/fall when it fruits to see what species it is.

I havent been able to check this week.  Finally got to go back to work once the rain stopped.  But with this cold snap I was gonna wait a couple more days.  To check any of my spots.
