Nice cluster bro, still nothing on my end. Have a few more spots to hit up once there is some free time.

Doc its been one hell of a year man. I've put 0 time into actually hunting them and I still find them just about everytime I take the fam to the park. Literally walk right up on them.

According to one article I read that said there was huge fruiting happening in a lawn, they found a sewage leak beneath the lawn, repaired it, and fruiting pretty much stopped. I forgot the city but if you look up articles on weilii, it's there.

I’ve read that article, I believe it was found in Suwannee.

yeah that's the article i was referencing as well. I'm questioning their claim that they fruitted in massive numbers bc of the leak and stopped showing up after fixing it. I bet they still fruit there but i'm just guessin'

Those are some fat caps for grassy guys. I did turn around a couple of times today while I was driving, but saw no actives. Just some Amanitas and Amarillas. My neck hurts from trying to look while driving. lol

Mushrooms aren’t addicting, but hunting for them is!!!!! The best hobby, especially if you play disc golf while hunting

Thats awesome, I'm happy for Y'all, these tropical systems definitely make it nice. Today, isthmus first day in over a month that I've had the opportunity to look for any fungi I could find and photograph.

Got the chance to run to the super duper secret pan patch after work. Not the usual amount I find this time of year but wasn't disappointed. Found a few cubensis which was odd because I've never found them in this field, was surprised for sure. Hopefully the caerulescens flush out again after the storm!

I have actually watched those. (For some reason, it kills me that they are just out roaming and picking a massive ton of mushrooms and videotaping it....they must have some good spots to be able to do that.) But yes - I will go see what that have for ovoids. Good tip!

my most recent find was a little patch of grass behind some ac units and reading past threads it seems ac units installed on top of the right grass and properly shaded are a definite hotspot
i only found 2 though and checked all around and under those trees and into the woods found a gigantic patch of nonactives that look similar to a different phenotype about 6 ft away. i checked backed every other day since and nothing just a couple of inocybe (i guess) circling the outside of the grass and assorted mycena : ( and yall better be cautious hunting from the car lol i had a close call the other day where i almost didnt notice some brake lights

Wanted to get some thoughts on these potential habitats. No luck today everything seems to be drying out pretty quickly.

Your third photo looks like it has some potential. Tree lines with tall grass are always good spots to start.
